Good luck with that!

If a tree falls in the forest, etc. - not if the mainstream media says it didn't!

This is the primary flaw in the (nearly flawlessly precient) Ann Coulter theory that giving the Democrats total control of government would insulate Republicans from blame for the inevitable catastrophe.

If you don't believe me, just watch the headlines or listen to the news: poor BHO is "discovering" that Bush left things far worse than even he ("greatest economic crisis of the century") anticipated! Despite his "cool demeanor" according to the dispassionate AP, he is preparing us for the "deep hole" out of which he will have to drag us (unlike Bush, who inherited a strong military and a world which loved us).

So when taxing and regulating the productive taxpayers to death doesn't recharge the economy, expect the mainstream media (and Hollywood and the education elites) to blame it all on Bush, Rove, Cheyney, Halliburton, etc. The poor Democrats are doing the best they can with the miserable hand they were dealt.

I appreciate the well written post and hope the "swing voters" who were sucked in by his post-nomination turn to the right (or turned off by McCain's muddled message) will also hold his feet - and those of the mainstream media - to the fire

Great essay Mike.

You seem to have the same thoughts I have about the next 4 years.

Whenever the messiah fails to perform his expected miracles, you can be sure there will be plenty of folks on the right and middle, (and a few eventually on the left) who will do their best to remind the 52% exactly what they voted for.

I'd like to invite you, and any like minded folks reading this, to our little TH chat-room.
We call it the No-Troll-Zone, for obvious reasons.

You can find it by clicking the "TH chatter" link in my blogroll, or just bookmarking the following url.

Just set up a chat ID and join the party. Many of the conservative posters you see here on TH are chatting there all the time. :o)

Hope ya decide to take us up on the invitation. :o)

Good points! Of course, I don't expect a mea culpa moment from the Dems or their lackeys. However, we on the right must not forget what he promised or excuse his failures. For example, to "the problems are worse than we thought", I'd say: "You mean to tell me this man who said he would heal the world and cause the oceans to recede, bolstered by the vast experience of Biden and the wisdom of 300 advisors, misjudged the problem?"
