and there IS hope...look at Hugh Hewitt, he's always been politically savvy and he KNOWS that the illegal immigration issue painted the GOP as being not just anti-Hispanic, but anti minority.

Sheila, we have a blog and the internet, we need to start fighting back. I believe the fight must start with GWB; we can no longer allow him to be everyone's punching bag.

The sad fact is that if GWB was a Democrat, he's be considered the greatest president ever lived. The Dems would be talking endlessly about how he turned around two recessions...the war he won, the nations he made give up their nuclear programs etc. etc.

Instead, because GWB is a Republican and their so called "base" has loyalty as an option, he is constantly crucified for what he DIDN'T do.

It's time Sheila to defend the man who gave back our world after 9/11. Something most Americans didn't think possible.

I defend him everyday when I remind people of all the reasons he was a great president. I have friends who fell into the hateBush cult, and I can't believe it. It is sickening.

Can you imagine if he had been a democrat as you say? He would be the post 9-11 hero!

Yes, I know you defend him...as Sandra and a host of people that are Republicans defend GWB...unfortunately they are conservatives that are actually Libertarians or third party wannabes that are joining the Liberals in crucifying GWB. They do not get it. To most of the 125 million Independents, GWB IS the Republican Party and his "failure" represents the failure of Republicans to pick decent candidates.

Yesterday I heard Medved, as he was defending Bush on Iraq, say that there were many things that went wrong in his administration. I wanted to ask, Like what???? What went wrong?

The only thing that went wrong was when conservatives decided to attack after the Myers nomination, and didn't stop, then we lost in 2006 and 2009! That's what went wrong.

Once he was the only tsh that was half way reasonable, now he seems to have joined the bash Bush brigrade.
