You sound...

a little irritated. Your pragmatism is correct. Although I am not a one issue voter, I have a problem voting for someone I don't believe to be a conservative. My loyalty lies with my beliefs and ideans and not the party. This makes it very difficult come election day. I believe your idea to be true, I just don't like it. I get tired of playing games with what I perceive to be my children, and their children's future.

I figure myself to be a simple guy. 2+2=4. It all grows from that. I really hate having to use the Pythagorean theory to figure out who I should vote for.

Not at all irritated

I just recognize that if people are to pay attention and not reject my views out of hand, they have to understand that I share their goals.

Of late, I have been promoting matching candidates to their districts, something the Dems did very successfully in the Congressional elections.

I was a bit afraid that someone would confuse me for a liberal, so this was a preemptive post.
