A Major Malfunction!

Excellent piece, and spot-on. Had FDT or Hunter had 1/2 the media adulation the Clintons received over the years,we would not be in such a predicament today.Since the LSM is predominantly Dems, I suppose that would be asking a bit much,eh? And they talk about Rush being the pailboy for the GOP. He is a PIKER compared to an AVERAGE amount of fawning press the LSM gives to libs.

Good to see you back up and running bro'! Spot on observation. Once again, we agree that the media's "shot selection" is driving the whole enchillada.

Can we sing a few bars of "The Party's Over" ala Dandy Don for Hillary.

clyde & Scottie

Clyde, i would have been happy just to see the MSM stay out of the GOP campaign altogether and let the Party decide who gets the support. It's just a trip that no one on the GOP side has seemed to realize that w/o media backing, the whole myth of the Clinton Machine gets exploded!

Scottie, it is pretty much over for Dame Hillary. With no media support, except for Cokie Roberts, Hillary is not going to be able to wage a strong campaign against Obama. Every move she makes is spun as negatively as possible for her by the media, even when she's right. She is right that Obama is naive on foreign policy, she is right that he has NO executive experience, and she is right that it takes more than rhetoric to be a leader...but when she says it she gets hammered. I bet she and Bill aren't liking life on that side of the media divide!

Karma's a b__ch

That's my way of saying that all the horrible, downright evil things that the Clintons have done seem to have FINALLY caught up with them. They're finally being treated as Republicans have ALWAYS been treated by the Media since the early '70s...they're FINALLY seeing what a biased Media AGAINST them looks like. I am personally revelling in this karmic justice. Just a FEW MORE electoral drubbings by Obama next Tuesday, and Billary will have to think about conceding. Oh, happy day, to be FINALLY rid of the Clintons in Presidential politics!!

Glad to see The Spade is back up. You always bring us a great perpective on the issues, that being the view from North Cackalacka.

Ain't it amazing how the MSM has fawned over BHO with there being nothing in the suit? "Barack The Magic Negro" fits so well, since any attacks on him are considered to be anti-black, and the media keeps forgetting that he's half-white and was mostly raised by the white half of his family.

He's the next President, since McLame will not put up a real fight. He'll be gentile and won't bring up any real problems with "Senator" Obama. Heck, he can't even let people use BHO's full name without getting hacked off...at the conservatives!

Oh, and Flag

You are welcome to be an advisor in the Crawfish Party anytime!

By golly, you're on to something.Having gotten through the third paragaph,I already had the answer. The MSM who was nice enough to pick McCain as the republican candidate, originally anointed the hildebeast as their chosen one.But since the primaries seem to be going Baracks way,HE'S now their anointed. They don't care who wins as long as it's liberal and they're on the winning side.
This is a scary situation. We(the People)cannot allow an agenda driven media to choose who governs this country.Alas,I think there are far to many folks with their noses glued to american idol to worry much about who's even running. No doubt they'll wait until the last minute and vote name recognition(hence the true value of the campaign dollar).

Hmmmmm.....

I wonder if we'll see ole Hillary squawking about a "vast media conspiracy"?.......

Really excellent essay, with a terrific analysis.

Nah, no VMC talk because as soon as Barak has the nomination in hand her media buddies will start to rehab her image. She will be portrayed as gracious in defeat, her campaign will be hailed as a landmark for women, and she will probably end up as Senate Majority Leader before it's done. And Bill will suddenly return to being hailed as maybe the greatest former President ever; the media love affair with the Clintons isn't over, just on hold for a little while.

I went ahead and posted the last part of the platform. I promise that it is shorter than the last one!

It's good to have you back. A very clear, and I believe accurate, analysis of the media's Clinton estrangement syndrome.

Further, I think you are absolutely right that the media will try to rehab team Clinton as soon as they have made the obligatory endorsement of Obama. Good work!

Thanks to all!

Thanks for the comments and the affirmations, I appreciate all your view points!

Sarge, it is indeed good to be back after my technical difficulties! Don't doubt for a moment that the press has had it with Bill & Hillary, they just have a new "boy toy" to prop up.

Doc, try to control your enthusiasm! But it will be nice to finally not have a Clinton or Bush in the White House...but the Clintons are not going away jusr yet. Remember that "The Smartest Woman in the World" is still in the Senate.

Crawfish, I'll be in the Swamp to check out the rest of the plank in just a bit!

Speaking of Media Meddling

I note the NYT endorsed McCain before the primaries were decided, then slimed him immediately after he appeared to have the nomination locked up; despite having the story in hand BEFORE they endorsed him. Pretty transparently biased and manipulative to me.

Scottie

That was bad, but I thought it was kinda funny. John McCain found out the hard way that the NYT doesn't love him, he was just a pawn in their attempts to destroy the GOP. What was even more curious was the way McCain handled the situation, saying how disappointed he was in the NYT for running that story. That tells me that McCain still hasn't learned his lesson, because you are usually disappointed in those that mean something special to you because you expect better from them. I could have seen him saying that he was angry with them for launchng such a personal attack on him, but he was merely disappointed. I suppose he used upa ll his anger dealing with the conservatives, eh?

Flag

I doubt McLame has learned the lesson. He'll be grovelling to the Slimes again by next week.
