The gift worth opening

I believe that more than 2000 years ago God sent someone to earth to, among other things, prove that He existed. This human walked (crawled first) in our skin, ate among us, fished, cried, got angry, grew scared, had BO, made and lost friends, felt lonely, farted, was tempted…just like us-only different…being the most divine human and most human divine-He came as a child, to share this blissed out love with all of us. He extended his hands out and up showing us “in his body” just how much He loved us. His death, gave us the choice to turn towards Him in faith---and accept the gift (which I believe gives us the chance to experience as humans –heaven ON earth & ensures heaven forever AFTER earth) OR turn against Him in disbelief-rejecting Him, His powerful Love, His limitless mercy (main components of the gift). His gift was only possible after His cross---(on a personal note I opened my gift after I carried my cross (with Him)). I believe, we can open up our hearts to receive the gift by filling our bodies with His Body in the Eucharist (and doing it with the same vigor and trust that Mary His mother did) — by trying to live a decent life-(remembering to ask for mercy when we don’t) and by sitting with Jesus in the Adoration Chapel. This and genuine prayer may unlock our hardened hearts. It may transform us into God’s conduit on earth--- (God’s knows we all need more love!) making our bodies the hands and eyes (etc.) of Christ’s with those around us. Maybe each day, we could choose to become like the child on Christmas morning – eagerly anticipating, opening, praising and then sharing the gift---its may not always be easy…nothing worthwhile ever is…but I think it may be worth it…..what do you think? “For I know …the plans I have …for you….says the Lord…plans to give you a future full of hope….when you look for me you will find me…” Jeremiah 29 11-12. Keep searching …you’ll find Him. And then (hopefully) you’ll realize He was there the whole time. God bless. XXOO
