Why now? Why all the noise?
Some of us are not so bewildered when considering the US/Mexico Border.
We know that the "gun running" across the border has existed from the first instance there was a border. And we know that the "gun smuggling" is not of "business proportions. This is not news.
This morning the incidence is problablt much less than in the past. Most contemporary "gun" smuggling is little more than young Mexican punks retunring to Mexico with a few weapons. No.
"Americano del Norotos" have not created a flourishing mercantile in illegal weapons for their Cousins of The Perpetual Revoluccione.
Why would a "Busy Busy, Busy," secretary fo state and attorney general suddenly pop off about gun smuggling mor Mexico?
Oh! Niow we do have one hell of a historic smuggling cartel in stolen cogarettes, whisky, exotic birds and luxury food items such as Rsiian Caviar. The profit obviously is in avoiding the U.S. import taxes as well as capitalizing on organized robbery and thievery in almost every country ouside the U.S.
Now let's discuss the global locations where military grade weapons are made in elaborate subterranean complexes; or let's take a look at Humboldt County in Northern California.
In these idyllic Redwoods, more pot and other drugs are processed in elaborate underground labs than in all of Mexico. Good enforcement officers have been denied significant support from politicos and judges for years. At least that is the message I have received during my 50 years of wandering those parts. It's not a deep, dark secret at Humboldt State University.
Will anyone make noise about that?
