Palin and the media black out of Obama

Right on ALL three points> As I wrote this morn in my blog, thsi is STUNNING development. All week i been writing that Msc needed to keep the Big MO afgter Saddlenback and with the Dem pick of Biden who IS a good speaker and I HOPED McCAin would show he can be agent of change and think out of box and BY GOLLY he done did it!!!

Politics (and foreign policy) is like chess. McC just proved he knows how to size up his opposition and make a good play. I've read that he's going to be in trouble with the Press who feel angry at being misled prior to his surprise announcement. Well, boo hoo to the Lamestream Media.

Consider the kind of strategy that goes into dealing with a Vladimir Putin. If McC couldn't snooker the Press, what chance would he have against Putin? As you pointed out, he timed this perfectly to trip up Obama's momentum. How refreshing it is to see a politician masterfully manage expectations and timing. Don't you wish W had done this a bit better as Prez?

That said, I think Rove and W were masterful in 2004. They played opossum all through the summer letting Kerry get all the limelight. But they kept their powder dry and exploded after the convention.

McC is going to murder Obama in the debates and that will be all she wrote.
