Who will, and who should, buy the Cubs?

not to worry

Cuban's an avid Obama supporter. Look for a massive amount of money to given to him to help make the sale happen.

yes, but Pres. Barry...

... is a heartless, Godless automaton who knows nothing of baseball, as evidenced by the fact he roots for the White Sox.

Didn't know about Cuban's Obama support, and I can't say I much care should he manage to bring a title to the team. Some things are simply bigger than politics, the US economy, and future terrorist attacks. Go Cubs Go!

Inside deal

I'm sure Barry "owes" something to someone in Chicago, so he'll pay up and make this happen.

I love Cuban

The guy is awesome. Maybe not for the old-school baseball, but I would want him to own a team. Unlike, say, Peter Angelos, Cuban is interested in winning, not just selling tickets.

Maybe they don't want his antics in their club, but with no salary cap? Cuban makes the Cubs the favorite each and every year he owns them.

Cuban should make his own team

Put it in Berkley, Ca. Call it the Berkley Bushdid9/11ers. He could make a stadium called Scholars For 9/11 Truth Field, or We Hate American Soldiers Park.

LOL Jesse!

I like "The Truthers", they could have American Flag patches upside down on their jerseys.

Chris - let's not go too far

The Cubs as a FAVORITE every year with Cuban in an ownership role and no salary cap?

Let's get past the seemingly insurmountable hurdle of a single World Series title in my lifetime before there's talk of anything so dynastic as being the favorite every year.

And I guess I can understand how the owners wouldn't want Cuban's antics. I mean, after having another low-rated World Series, why in the world would the geniuses who run MLB want to get people interested in watching their game?
