Glad to see someone else in up in arms at the mudslinging from the left. Wrote something similar myself today at Ronni's World. Must be a lot more like us. I agree, we need to win big.

Me too!
I hope it does make Republican voters mad, as you and Ronni say.
It's looking like the leadership is starting to turn on Hastert. Let's see... the Dems got Newt, Livingston, Delay, Lott and now probably Hastert. Wow we don't need to have elections!

investigate any "last-minute" election time hijinks, they had the IM's or a year, yet dropped this bomb conveniently on the heels of the the Nov. elections... no surprise, what did expect. They are waking up to the fact that voters are starting to leave Hollywood .. in Hollywood. Dems cannot be trust with govenance... they cannot govern themselves -- how can they govern people how are smarter then they are...

We need to let our representatives know we don't want them giving the dems what they want! We need to get a backbone and fight back!
It's disgusting what the dems are up to.

Voting
The Republicans need to organize the biggest get out the vote campaign they can muster. The Foley thing will pass ... a month is a long time in an election cycle. I see the most danger in this election from Republicans so disgusted that they sit this one out. I read a consensus of polls yesterday and the breakdown is a Democrat pickup of 7 to 12 seats in the House and 3 to 4 in the Senate, That is great news for us. We maintain control of both branches of Congress. If the Democrats cannot win in this most favorable environment for them in years, they have some serious problems and some major changes would be in order.
Welcome back...we missed you.

My guess is that the GOP is going to once again do a miserabel job of fighting back on the Foley scandal. But I also think the Dems will overplay their hand. I think the net result of the Foley mess will be negligable.

We need to get the word out so we can get out the vote (as grampus said)...
Right now that's the most important thing whether Rush says it or Hannity says it...We need to write about this to demonstrate that out here we don't want to give up and turn things over to the Dems!
We can get original and go on to other things after we've won the election!

Hey Mike
Thanks for letting me know how you feel... sorry if I sound like Rush!
I remember when I first heard him on the air, my thought was "there's someone saying exactly what I'm thinking"!
I guess it's a high compliment to sound like Rush, and I'm sorry about that, but this is me speaking and it's exactly how I feel!
Why do the republicans always have to cave to the demands of the minority? It's time to stand up and say enough.
We should stand for higher standards, and live by them, but we shouldn't let these peons walk all over us either!
Thanks for the critique, it never hurts to have positive criticism...forgive me though, I write what I think!:)

Interesting consensus about the dems. I think it's impossible that they will gain enough seats to get the majority...people are fed up with their tactics!
I just think we need to make sure we don't let the dems smear the whole republican party and tell us who we should keep in office!
Nice of you to stop by and comment.I appreciate it!:)

I'm with you, why should we let the libs dictate to us? We're in the majority!
We hold a higher standard, than they do, and always have!
We need to do as you say, and call them on their tactics, and not let them get the upper hand!
I'm glad you stopped by and shared your thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

Any time you think of the spending, any scandals, etc. remember how you'll feel if you wake up the day after the election to Speaker Pelosi, and the rest of them that will be the committee chairs. And we'll have to live with the "see were better and the people want our ways and ideas."

That landslide talk should go from this thread to God's eyes. May you be right about it. And after all, the numbers of us on the right are increasing. If it makes you feel any better, I am so bummed out by the lousy performance and missed opportunities of the GOPers controlling the levers of power in DC that i considered protest votes. But as the voting booth comes closer i realize thereis just too much at stake and will vote lesser of 2 evils like a good little conservative compromiser. I would sure like to vote FOR someone again.

Anyone know how I can add a question to Pelosi's lie detector test? I'd like to know if her nose is imported or of domestic manufacture. (the answer, and I think I know it, could cost her support of the union/buy American voting bloc.

We need to work to get true conservatives in major numbers in office, but we can't hand things over to people who will destroy our country. They had 50 years to pretty much do that, and we're suffering the consequences of that now.
I do believe people will understand the consequences of sitting this one out. We may not have the perfection we want in the party, but we can work toward that goal.
The main thing I believe is not letting the Left dictate to us who we will vote for! We can't allow them to get what they want...wise as serpents gentle as doves should be our motto!:)
Thanks for the thoughtful comments!

Well, as you know
I disagree with you on this. I think there may actually be a long-term benefit to a Rep loss of the Senate.
The Rep party keeps drifting to the left because no one is holding their feet to the fire. They've become too cocky, and don't much care anymore about the base. They regard conservatives in the same light that Dems regard the NAACP. The attitude is "where else are they gonna go?"
You talk about conservative candidates. Like who, Spector? McCain? Chaffee? Snow? Warner? Graham? I know that not all these people are running this time, but this is the type of people the Reps have in the Senate.

Well, I agree we need new conservative blood in the Senate. I just don't want to hand it over to the Kerrys and Hillarys of the world until that happens.
I'm mad too at bums like McCain, Spector (why didn't we get rid of him), Chafee, Snow, Graham!
But do we want Kerry and Hillary in the majority...that would be h*ll!
So we keep the majority, and keep working to get new blood in there and eventually weed out the duds.
I'm glad you checked in, I like hearing your perspective. It is a frustrating situation...;)
