Will President Obama Govern As a Centrist?

In a Word -- No!
Hi, Sheila! I don`t think he will govern as a centrist. He`s way too radical. I read an interesting article at American Thinker that he will start governing slowly and please everyone and then sneakily tack to the left. Now how does anyone know what he is going to do? Doubt even if he or his handlers know. Obama is appointing/recruiting all the Clinton retreads. Read that is because he is too lazy to do any real work/vetting. I can see that! Just phone it in! Hahaha. Very interesting about what may happen with Pantsuit now. Billy Jeff is raking in all that foreign money and she does not believe in personal disclosure. Do you think he is out to include them, tease them or just flat out destroy them?

I don't see him being a centrist. What I see is him creating a facade of moving toward the middle and just pulling a lot of BS over us once his minions are completely braindead. (which his followers will be by June I wager from drinking to much koolaid)

Heck NO!
He made too many promises and they will coming to collect on them. Right now, there is the group that is up in arms that their mortgages are not being paid. You have the real lefties that are getting upset. He should have pushed Bush out of the way and closed Gitmo.
Now I was on some of the really left sites and guess what? They are not happy with the possibility of Holder and Clinton. Clinton has become extremely disliked.
I think in about 6 months or sooner, Obama is going to realize that being President is not easy and he will not be able to do what he wishes. He is going to really go up against Pelosi/Reid. Those loons have a huge agenda and they are going to collect and fight for what they want. I do not see UNITY any time soon.

He has a huge EGO, SO it would not surprise me to find him already looking at a legacy and place in History among the greats and that requires him to be more centrist. I dont think he has many hard core gut positions, I think most are from neccessity. Now he is in he can do what he wants. If ticks off far left it means he would have picked up middle of road support. We shall see!! Hillary at Stste would assure a balanced foreign policy

POne thing he will have to do is start making DECISIONS. They still playinng Hot Potato with the Auto/Union BAilout trying to pass it off to Bush. No matter where Obamy governs from he has to start making decisions that count

There is absolutely zero chance of ol' Barry governing as anywhere near a centrist. I think it is very safe to say that if he had any intention of doing to you would have already seen him front of the cameras clearly stating that because the current economic down turn he will not raise taxes plus he will veto any tax increase that comes across his desk "at least" until we have cleared our present economic situation. That would be centrist. Instead he's hiding out until the whole thing implodes then he and his cohorts can assume control.

Due to circumstances and the fact that Obama is smart, I really do think he'll work from the center or center-left until he gets re-elected. I just don't think he needs Pelosi and them. Look how the Blue Dogs ignore Reid and Pelosi. Where are the Dems gonna run to? Plus, there's no money. The Good Folks of America are about to blow - I'd tread lightly if I were the pols.
On the other hand, Obama might just be waiting until things get so bad that the GFofA will grasp to any huge program that he offers. hahaha
btw-you know that Obama could really help the market by declaring "Read My Lips No New Taxes" don't you?

Did you predict that he would? I forgot, sorry.
It's hard to say which way he will go, though I think the concensus is he'll start out more to the center, as you say, then watch out...after lulling people to sleep the real agenda will come out.
Others think he wants to have a legacy of working accross the isle, and getting things done, and not being so partisan...

Is it time to hold hands and sing now? Please let me know when we are ready to harmonize.
Do I think that Obama is gonna go all left freaky? No, not at first. But, when the people come calling, you know the ones that gave tons of money and help push him through, it will get ugly. And thought Hillary was a pain, Pelosi is not going to let up.
They took down the story of her phone call with him and she did remind him of what her constituants want and were promised. Within 6 months they will start to implode and it won't be pretty.

Hello, One of my biggest questions remains the same; just who is this guy? Everything I know about him leads me to believe he is intent on changing the United States of America into the United States of Socialist America. The only remotely conservative thing I've ever heard him utter is in reference to fathers taking responsibility for their families but I think he was pandering to a crowd then. I didn't see the 60 Minutes interview, but CBS is known for honesty in reporting, right?

Don't worry about the Democrats getting a 60 vote Senate, with the RINOs there Collins, Snowe, Specter, and the across the aisle chief McCain there the Democrats have no worry with the Senate.
Look at the Obama choices all Democrat retreads, He may surprise the left on some things [love to see it], but wait for single payer health care [will destroy our health system] his judicial appointments [Congress is going to vote new judicial seats, appellate and district] that "the one" can fill.
We have a very left liberal Socialist in the White House, so when push comes to shove that's the way he will go not to the center. Some of his appointments are bad for the right, the AG for one. Why do you think Daschle wanted HHS?

The lamestream media version of a centrist is a liberal. Anything to the right of David Gergen is evil. I have a theory.. The reason that all these big name Democrats went with Obama instead of Hillary, is because they thought Hillary might be to moderate when she first started out under the advisement of her husband who got creamed in 1994 after two years of very liberal policies. They want to go far left right away and that is why they backed a radical communist. They are going far left believe me... Just think if the Clintons are to moderate for these people. The media will still say their left wing agenda is centrist.
