Ted Turner can’t choose sides in the War on Terror

Traitor Ted Turner

I had sent a couple of emails regarding the Turner article prior to locating the "comment" section. To reiterate: Please determine "facts" and 'context" before delivering cheap smears. What Ms. deGraffenreid (and others) apparently ignored was that Turner's response was to a question concerning the IRAQ WAR and had nothing to do about choosing sides in the war on terror. Within that context, his remarks, while perhaps awkwardly stated, were nevertheless entirely reasonable. I don't always agree with Turner, but he is a patriot and certainly doesn't deserve this shameful verbal assault from deGraffenreid. I would hope that she would act honorably and responsibly by issuing a correction and apology.

Thank you for your comments! I'm thrilled to answer your challenge. While Turner's response was specifically answering a question about the war front in Iraq, he referenced a quote given by the President in regards to the entire War on Terror. Turner therefore opened himself up to speaking about the war in general.

I disagree with your use of the term "IRAQ WAR" because it is just a battle in the much larger War on Terror. Your thought process about Teddy's comment is the same as saying that you wouldn't choose a side in the battle on the beaches of Normandy, but you sure hope that the good guys would win the war.

I hope this provided some clarification, but as for an apology, I refuse to feel sorry for calling out a celebrity who used his pulpit for dangerous and irrational thoughts.

"You're either with us or you're against

Great words, Great American words. Apparently Mr. Turner has forgotten where and from whom he got all his billion$. He comment that "he hadn't made up his mind yet" borders on something a lunatic would say. Every American should have made up their mind as soon as the first tower was hit and if not then, when the second tower was hit at the latest. This man deserves not one more moment of comment as I believe in doing so will only add credence to his non-sensical utterings.
