The war on terror is the biggest fraud in the history of the world.

Let me prove it to you.

The following two statements can't both be true at the same time:

a)We are fighting a war on "terror";
b)The borders are wide open.

The sieve-like borders is true. Ergo, the "war on terror" is false.

By the way, OBL's stated goal was the bankruptcy of the US.

Buchanan is right in that you cannot fight a war against terror, because wars are not fought against specific weapons they are fought against people. Specifically they are fought against people who want something different than you.

This war can be fought in two ways, kill or isolate ourselves from all the people who think differently, or try to change their thinking. Unfortunately for us in America, we no longer have a consistent idea of what we believe, so it is really hard to engage in the war of ideas.

You could even theoretically completely close the border and still lose the war, because ideas and belief systems cannot be held out by a fence.

We need to get back to teaching a consistent Judeo-Christian view of the world, and promote such a view as a good thing throughout the world. Otherwise, we will crumble from the vacuum on the inside, while also being attacked by enemies on the outside.
