Romney: I'm the conservative

Romney

Two points on the Presidential hopefuls: 1) It is baffling that this race is starting so early; and 2) got your points on the pro-life side and although I'm as staunch a pro-lifer as one can be, what you're not taking into account is leadership. Career legislators are not leaders. Witness the debacle going on in the House this week. They spend their lives arguing the finer points of legislation and practicing gotcha Washington politics. Presidents must be leaders, and the one thing you can say about Rudy and Mitt is that they have proven leadership ability. In deference to John McCain's military leadership background, which is fantastic, being a LT in the Navy is a lot different from running a state or an 8 million resident city. Americans seem to prefer governors over senators, which bodes well for Republicans since I don't believe a Dem Gov has put his name in. The only Dem with that pedigree so far is Richardson of NM. He might be a sleeper candidate. I'm not familiar with his Pro-life stance, but I'm sure he follows his party's mantra.
