I read your post three times. I smiled as I read it and I thought how accurate it is. The modern media would almost certainly put such a spin on this historical battle. I often feel that it is a shame that American service people are given no recognition for their courage nor for their competence. Never is there any mention of military people being given awards for bravery or accomplishment. The spin is usually to make them look incompetent and ignorant. Thank you for sharing this piece with us. It is well written.
