I think our current administration is bereft of reality, living in an alternate universe where history does not repeat itself and the potential for a total reversal of failed or failing countries policies.

You're so right. They have all chosen since they were very young to deny Reality and their places in it. Practically speaking, they want to be anyone besides who they're stuck being, doing anything other than what they're stuck doing, and anywhere other than they are right now.
Because they feel, deep down, that they're worthless and evil--but can't admit this to themselves, they project those feelings out on everyone else--especially those of us who do our best to choose acceptance of Reality and our places in it.
They would rather die than admit they could possible be wrong about anything, therefore all the rest of us must be wrong, and be worthy only of death.
Is it any wonder folks like Rachel/Raelei, Bob Munck, and especially Hal Donahue and RangerIQ29, et al, hate us and want us to disappear?
Either we choose life, or we choose death. This is why the issue of abortion on demand is such a hot button issue on both sides. As far as I'm concerned, where a person stands on that single issue tells me all I need to know about what their predominant choice is.

Oops!
"anywhere other than they are right now." Should be "anywhere other than where they are right now."
And, "than admit they could possible" should be "than admit they could possibly."
Sigh! Can't type today.
