DEATH PANEL TO OBAMACARE - We're Pulling the Plug

Where is the death panel?

The Texas Advance Directives Act (1999), also known as the Texas Futile Care Law, signed by former president GWBush. Chapter 166 of the Texas Health & Safety Code.
Section 166.046, Subsection (e),[1] which allows a health care facility to discontinue life-sustaining treatment against the wishes of the patient or guardian ten days after giving written notice if the continuation of life-sustaining treatment is considered medically inappropriate by the treating medical team.

This is apples and oranges, George.

Texas is a state, not the nation, the nation whose supreme law of the land is to be the U.S. Constitution.

The TADA doesn't authorize the State of Texas to refuse treatment or to direct that such be done. Given the unalienable right to liberty, a patient should be able to refuse treatment. Likewise, a doctor should be able to refuse treatment. Probably based on the "necessary and proper clause", medical providers must give the 10-day notice, so that the patient or guardian can seek an alternative solution.

HR 3200 grants authority to to government-appointed panels to decide, and there is no-nil-nada-zero-zip-zilch enumerated power in the Constitution for such.

Not so fast dr. Pete

Re: HR 3200. Where is the plug-pulling" clause?
There is not one.

The TADA authorizes the State of Texas to refuse treatment or to direct that such be done, if the 10-day notice, so that the patient or guardian can seek an alternative solution. Which means "show them the dough$$" or your a dead person.

No reason, George, for me to

engage in discussion with someone who contradicts his own posts, not 45 minutes apart and for all to see.

The Oregon Example of Death Panels

Lets not forget the example the Socialist Republic of ORegon gives us of government health care:

When a patient is considered "terminal," health care is cut off. Oh, but the STATE will pay for your euthanasia.

After all, as Oregon socialists see it, the ill have a DUTY to die so as not to be a burden on the government budget.

Let me pose it this way: How many times have you heard of a person who was diagnosed a terminal - no hope - and they survived against all odds? All those peoiple would be DENIED health care and FORCED TO DIE under national health care.

This is not fiction, It is fact, and there are multiple examples. Google Oregon +Cancer Euthanasia.
