September 12th Observations

I'm so glad you got to meet up with bobbie.

I was worried when we came out of the subway and saw the mass of humanity that no one would actually get to meet up.

We got lucky and met JeffotF, and Ms Paddy, then later got to hook up with CK Hustler, and his sister and cousin at the old post office/pavilion.

The memories of this weekend will be with me for life. (We were also in shanksville PA on 9-11 morning):o)

Thank you, Bobbie, and the other TH bloggers for the active participation. My friend Dale from Huntly was also there, but like you, was swept up in the confusion and unable to make the scheduled rendezvous at the monument. Maybe next time. I have no doubt there will be more.

for going and reporting. I had a house full of company that weekend and forced them to watch Glenn Beck so I could keep up with the coverage. I literally cried when I saw the size of the crowd. And I swelled with pride when the reports came in and noone was arrested, there were no problems, and the sites remained clean.

I still have those rusty old manure-encrusted pitchforks if they are needed in the future.

Thousands upon thousands of people show up and the elite media ignore or slander them without there being one arrest. The left protest where dozens get arrested, vandalize, and injure and they're covered as people with legitimate beefs. Got a good new post up.

I was so proud of my fellow Americans. Didn't hear a profane word, see any routy behavior, no litter when it was winding down or any mob mentality. We were with the kind of Americans that made this country what it is. Hard working, self reliant, God fearing generous spirited patriotic people who love their country and are fed up with a government out of control. I felt blessed to meet you, my blogger sister, there. WE spent an hour or better on the march and that added a very bright spot to a truly red, white and blue experience. To all of you who couldn't make it, you were well represented by those who did and we know you were all there in spirit. This is a great country and with Gods help, we are going to take it back. Thanks so much for being there, Mrs. Al. I'm blessed to call you my siter, my friend. God bless you and God bless America.

I wish I could have gone... It has scared the media something new! CNN denigrated it and the other networks tried to downsize the event. Nevertheless people noticed very concerned Americans such as yourself who are wishing that their politicians would listen to them.

Keep it up the pressure. This bill may not pass!

Like Gar says, I'm jealous. Work schedule just wouldn't allow...but good on ya for going, and you are truly lucky in getting to meet Bobbie!!

To your point about the water bottle, interesting timing that...the jihadis in England got their just desserts this past week, the ones who had planned to use liquid explosives...the ones responsible for us not being able to bring liquids on planes anymore. I guess the guard you encountered wasn't up to snuff on that scenario.

I am still out of sync schedule wise but, Lord willing, will be getting by your blogs and reading your comments in the next couple of days.

For those who could not attend, it was dynamite and all of us know you were there in spirit. And you know what ... that is just as significant.

Here's an idea -- maybe we should think about having some marches locally and meet in front of local media outlets that just don't get it. Might prove to be interesting for media types to talk with U.S. Citizens who are fed up with the mess in D.C. Maybe they would get the fact this is no about party affiliation or race. Good grief some ... people ... are dense!!

Bingo! It was a very sad commentary on how poorly trained those folks are. I don't blame them, I blame those in charge and the elected officials who are failing to provide oversight.

One additional note, this particular guard did not make good eye contact. In fact he looked away when I tried to engage him eye-wise. That tells me he wasn't comfortable and definitely was not in control of his environment!

On 09/10/09, my daughter had my 4th grandchild (Tristan, 6 lbs. 3 oz.) and my wife and I were in Monroe, LA. Plus it was a difficult pregnancy and my grandson was in NICU for 6 days.

I wish I could have been there with all of you.

The September 12th march was a triumph! It shows us couch potatoes that it DOES make a difference to speak up. ObamaCare has been damaged, perhaps mortally. Thank all you people from standing up for the rest of us!

I with security on this one, I'm guessing you're not what I would label a threat in terms of appearence.
