Welcome back
Pep,
I'm sure I speak for the community when I say that we await your next entry with bated breath (somebody somewhere posted that the correct spelling of this particular term is "bated", not "baited" which is what I always thought--go figure).
Anyway, I for one am glad to see you've posted again.

Great to hear things are shaping up. I hope your son is better. I've been too busy to post lately too but everything's ok. This subprime lending problem hit at a time when I was already doing a complete makeover of my marketing. On the other hand, there hasn't been much to write about with the candidates "walking" for president with their hand in their pockets.
So...are you living in a barn now? LOL.

My 40 kilogram English teachers dictionary says it's 'bated' breath.
But, that's is neither here nor there. That was a baited post if ever there was one. Big doing in Peppermint's life above and beyond moving. Hmmmm, I do wonder what's going on over there.

I'll have to take a look at your blog and see what's up over at your place. I may get some free time here over the next couple of days as I am almost finished packing.

Right now I'm living in a distribution warehouse it would seem. My condo is full of boxes everywhere packed up. So, am I living in a barn right now? No, but it feels like it.
Last night there was a mix up. My agent did not let me know someone was coming by to look at the place and I was in here with the kitchen completely torn up. The place was tornado alley. Embarrassing to say the least. The wife of the couple who came in was terrified of dogs and was screaming, "get that dog away from me". When they came through the door, I was otherwise disposed. Talk about mortified.
I didn't know you were not posting lately as I have not been making the rounds.
Good luck with your business.

I checked out your article. It is a very good one and certainly hits the nail on the head with the insanity we are experiencing in this country. I have to say I have no TV right now and have had very little time to read, so I am way behind on the news.
If certain friends don't let me know what's going on with verbal updates I have no clue what is happening right now in the world.

Have pleanty of experience with not only carrots and horses but cows too..only a few things you need to remember....
1. When feeding, a book of hay and a bucket of grain go only so far.
2. 4 not 1...when milking...(grain and hay come in handy here)
3. In the winter..make sure your hands are warm before milking.
4. All cows are demodummies...you can't really tell a bull from a cow by the horns. (ie. Billys' wife Hill)
5. Get a good horse and a REALLY good cow dog...it saves on you looking like a fool and can save several pairs of boots. (That and I know of a couple people who can get you a REALLY good horse)
6. Get a boot scraper...nuff said.
7. When bottle feeding calves...always cute when they suck your fingers...just watch your zippers.
8. If the cows get out....just laugh and tell your "city folk" neighbors you'll send them the bill for the fertilizer.
Follow this and you'll go far.
Good luck on your next adventure in life (adventure..sometimes nightmare). I can tell you now as long as ole' Reid stays away from your water you'll have a million and one tales that will outlive you. I know I do.

Well, I already have a built in cattle herder with my corgi, Dakota. He loves bullying those cows around and getting them into their place.
The farm house has a "mud room" as do all the farms there for the general purpose of removing any and all forms of "dirtied" clothing.
I hope to get to bottle feed the calves. I know my friends who own the farm are specifically breeding the cows on that farm and will need plenty of help with that.
Won't be milking as that is done by machine. Yippie for that one.
Good advice, RB, and I'll be sure to let you and everyone know all the comedies there will be. I'm sure there will be nightmares too. I don't want to be around when a cow delivers a dead calf.

Auto milkers? Just for kicks you have to milk one by hand....a real "farm" experience. Nothing but you, a bucket and an impatient cow.
Deal calf..yeah hard to handle but it happens. Not fun but the moms can make good nurse cows. Life goes on.
Mud rooms need to be cleaned too...just remember..anything you track in you still have to clean....Moms rule number 1!
Have fun and please let us know. Farming is so much fun and a learnig experience. It's born, you feed it, then eat it...circle of life ;D

Oh, I like that, "it's born, you feed it, then you eat it". Now that is profound.
In my former life I lived next to a farm, and one of my cats kept going over to the farm coming home with cow pies on him. Of course, he didn't want to clean that up himself. Sooooooo, I had to take that dude down into the stationary tubs and scrub that little Garfield up. Talk about fun!
I will definitely keep the mud room scrubbed and a shoe scruffer on the outside door.

I'm sorry, I must be dense. It must be that I'm overworked and exhausted these days, but, no, I don't know who the proverbial "cow" is.
And, a cow poke is a cow boy? Who ever heard of a cow boy on a cow farm? I mean don't cowboys work on ranches, not farms?
You had better roll into a shelter, Miss Evility, and cover your head. You're beginning to get more evil by the day. Or should I say by the hour?
Hey, there's a root cellar near the house where the walls are caving in. Perhaps you could roll right into that root cellar and never be seen or heard from again. Also there is the silo and the tobacco drying barn. You could get in there and be in heaven chewing on all that tobacco. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about the lagoon. You know what they are for don't you? Ha, ha, ha!

We all know you are insane as most Mossad agents go around the bend at one time or another. Having to recall and remember all the EVIL things they did to those poor victims of theirs is entirely too much to bear. Thus, these agents end up committed for life to a mental institution.
As everyone knows PG is in one of these Mossad Agent Asylums and is kept in a strait jacket on thorazine. Apparently, she has humongous hallucinations and horrendous flash backs to the times when she "poked" so many victims with her crutches and cane. Just recall what she did in Juliet's Diary.
