RE: Vampire's Reflection

I wholeheartedly concur with this agenda. Most important, and also most under appreciated, is the repeal of popular vote of the Senate. this has essentially killed the voice of the States, who formed this union of former sovereign states, in the federal government.

Completely Agree

Nice summation of what should and ought to be done to restore the integrity of the republic. What has happened over the course of the past 60 years in our government is criminal. Politicians keep taxing and spending with next to no accountability and increasing disregard. The biggest transgression is the idea that the government gets a pass because it is a government. It doesn't have to balance the budget or give reasons for going to war. It even can print money if it wants to. How is that even remotely warrented? The founding fathers would be appalled.

Good entry, VP. I hope this is not your only post. As libertarians we need to put as much out there as we can. People need to know about these principles. Only in light of new knowledge can the errors of previous ways be seen.

re: Jack

Criminal is right, I'd even go so far as to say treasonous. The entire lot of Congress ought to see the fate of the treasonous rat finks that they are.

If you are interested, there is a good book I read that just came out over Christmas called "Hamilton's Curse", which discusses the agenda of eliminating federalism started before the ink was dry on the Constitution paper and continues to this day.

Sorry if I'm not going to blog more here, but I think it is the equivalent of pi**ing into the wind. I prefer pi** into the wind by posting responses to the columnists and blogs, eh? The best libertarians can do these days is remind the religious right that they need libertarians or they will die as a party.

I find it highly ironic that the religious right is pi**ed off for being dismissed as irrelevant when in fact they are doing the same thing to libertarians.

Just desserts I guess.

Totally Agree

BTW, did I miss repealing the Federal Reserve Act too?
