Bilderberg...some thoughts

Nee

Very interesting reading Mr.Estulin's piece.I have heard of the Bilderbergers before, but never looked into it,or understood what it was about. Another project for this winter! As corrupt as the current crop in the Congress is, it would take a hel7-raising of epic proportions to drag any info about this bunch out of the congcritters. The absence of info on this group makes me think it has strong leftist leanings, you can bet your last dime if it were a conservative organization,it would have at least been hit hard by the NY slimes.

Nee......

These "world domination" conspiracy theories have been around forever. Hitler talked about the Jewish conspiracy with the Rotschilds, the Vanderbilts, "Roosenfeld" (Roosevelt) blah blah.

Don't get sucked into this dtuff. It's really tinfoil hat time.

I just posted a new essay on one of THE hot topics of the day. Shameless plug.

Clyde, Brian

Clyde, I agree that it would take alot to get the attention...and there is another person out there by the name of ALex Jones who writes with some guy Watson that also makes me think it is left leaning or at least anti-Bush.

Brian- it certainly gives me reason to pause. As I said, I don't believe that a handful of people can change the way of the world, no matter how they try. Progress is continuous, and there might be downturns, but never enough to stop the momentum of moving forward. Not only that, but in the long run, people who "get it" are never going to stand for it.

Nee

I've read some stuff on this too and I don't know what to believe if anything. Conspiracy theories abound as you cited.

With Bush pushing for globalism, a one world government, I have a hard time thinking that it is all a hoax. But, who knows?

Good article by the way.

oh, and...

Again, my main issue is about the secrecy and the potential of the impact on national security...The meetings do take place and we don't truly know what is said. I think that means there are risks, even if inadvertent.

Well

The best conspiracy theories always *sound* plausible, which is why they suck people in.

If some nut runs around proclaiming the earth is flat, well of course people ignore him.

But... Grassy Knoll... Hmm.... sounds possible....

And all of a sudden you have an Oliver Stone movie.

Nah. If secrets like that could be kept we'd all be in deep kimshee, living in a Kafkaesque world. If they're all THAT powerful and effective, we're screwed anyway!

But they're not. There's always someone who doesn't keep a secret, for a variety of reasons.

this conspiracy has already

been exposed in the movie, "So I Married an Axe Murderer":

Stuart Mackenzie: Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as "The Meadows".

Tony Giardino: So who's in this Pentavirate?

Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went teats up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

I will say one thing is weird: I went to Snopes.com and tried to look up "bilderberg" or "bilderbergers". Nothing. Now that IS unusual.

Patriotdefender-Thanks

Thanks for visiting my blog. I did see your 'inspired' comment today. The Live Free or Die was inspired by our Founding Fathers. It seemed appropriate.

Presenting Provocative Posting!

Sound and Fury...

The Bilderbergers don't scare me. The DNC scares me.

Are there powerful people from around the world meeting in secret?

Yes.

Are they conspiring to advance some cause of theirs?

Yes.

Is this somehow unusual?

No.

Let's face it, there's a "secret society" for every idea conceived by anyone. Townhall.com is probably considered a shadowy conspiracy by a few people. All these faceless bloggers gathered around a handful of controversial media personalities WITH THE AIM OF SHAPING THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SINISTER RIGHT WING AGENDAS! DUN DUN DUN!!! I mean... that's why I'm here.

Art

They don't scare me either...and yep, that is why I'm here, too. I've been given an "extra" if you will, to banter about with like thinkers and really know that not only will voting get the word out, but I've got allies!! And yes the DNC is f-ing scary!

Time for a shameless plug for my new essay "Murder and Roe", and also for a great new fiction series started by Phoenix Lady at her blog, here:

http://phoenix-rising.townhall.com/

I really recommend it.

Thanks for the invite

And your nice comments on Prager's latest article.

I would also beware of conspiracy theories. I just spent the lunch hour listening to a college student tell me how there was this vast rightwing conspiracy to cover up what really happened on 911. Nothing new there, but she babbled on about how the national operations manager for the FAA had been in the know and promoted to great heights for covering up that there were no actual passengers on United 93 and ... blah ... blah ... retch!

Problem with that is she didn't realize that my husband's uncle is Ben Sliney, who was the national operations manager in the tower -- the guy who grounded the planes. As far as he's admitting there were real passengers on United 93, he covered nothing up and he received no unusual rewards for doing his job that day. Well, he got thanked by the President, but no money seems to have been attached.

It was sort of fun after I'd let her drone on for a while, when she asked me what I thought, expecting me to agree with her incredible intelligence and knowledge, that I told her she was full of uh-hem and why. Oh, my! The look of shock and the back-peddling were all worth it!

But, the conspiracy theories -- well, they abound, particularly on the Internet. Research it carefully, make sure you're going after good sources before you believe anything.

I just posted a new essay at the Island. Stop on by.

Hate to plug and run, but there it is.

PD

This is kinda creepy if you really think about it. Good post though.
Oh yeah, shameless plug time.

I just posted a new Christmas-themed essay at the Island, "The Christmas Care and Feeding of Liberals"

Swing on by.

My Dad is gone. Blog posting with details.

Bilderberg

Nee,

This is a great article. I'm still reading all of the links. Did you ever read the Scull and Cross Bones at Harvard? I have no idea how I got there it was on my old computer and it went DOA in the middle of the night. It's similar but goes back futher.

Nee

Well, now that the holiday's are over (by one day) it's time to get back to the fight for Truth, Justice and the American Way. To that end, I've just posted a new essay at my blog, so come on by!

Errors

Nee,

I just put some info on Gunny's site about the errors and problems we have been having with the system. Check it out. We need a script person to tell us which way to go.

PD

I got a new cartoon up on my blog along with a new series I've become a fan up and wanted to share with all of y'all.
