The fall of America
And the Islamofascists have succeeded in placing a man behind enemy lines, and one that will have influence on our choices regarding the war on terror. The only way to stop the poison is to suck the venom out, but the politically correct knuckleheads would then cry unfairness, while all the while they remove Christ from Christmas.

Ellison
Sadly, we have an ignorant disengaged citizenry. I fear it will literally be the death of us.
I consider the far left to be not only unAmerican but outright traitors and to have sided with our enemies. I firmly believe they want us to lose and for America to be destroyed. At least, the America that I know.
It would not be so bad if we had a president who would stand up and confront our enemies at home. What he appears to be doing is caving.
I actually predicted a lot of what's happening in an effort to get people to vote Republican. Conservatives were disenchanted with Bush. I was one of them but I voted Republican anyway. Now, I'm heartsick.

Ellison and the Koran
I am one of those people that don't care whether Ellison swears on the Koran or not. Not that I am indifferent to the Islamic threat mind you..I just think its a futile item to choose to elevate to a public debate.
For me the real issue isn't what Ellison swears on or doesn't swear on..as a Muslim his oath is meaningless regardless of what he swears on. The Islam concept of Taqiyya makes it perfectly acceptable for a muslim to lie and swear false oaths for teh sake of Islam. With that in mind the question isn't what shoudl he or shoudln't he swear on...the question is should he have been elected in the first place.
Unfortunately the Minnesota 5th decided that yes he should...trying now to get him to swear on a bible is like crying over spilt milk.

You are exactly correct- the question is not what he swears to, but what he will do, and based on everything we know that is not promising. The article I referenced says that Congress can refuse to allow him to be seated, though I don't know if that's true, and even if it is I cannot see the whimpy politicians we have taking such a strong step. I guess that reflects the whole problem we face, doesn't it?

If...
a person can sit in a mosque or on a street in New York City and incite hatred against the nation that he is a citizen of and isn't charged with treason, citizenship revoked, and sent to the country of his choice how do we prevent an Anti-American Islamist that he can't take political office that eh was elected to? The sad part of this whole thins is that he was elected in the first place. I didn't expect this from Minnesota.

I guess if you can vote for Jesse Ventura you are capable of anything.
If the referenced article is correct, Congress can refuse to seat him, but what are the chances that a group of men without a backbone between them will do that?
