Doc Steech

Ha! NO EXTRA PARTS...now there's some good news...Uh OH...

I hate project like that...and now you've got me worried about the thing falling apart...thanks a lot...

Btw, Doc Steech

I had fun checking out some of your old blogs that I missed...

"Still readable"...Doc

you've got a lot of interesting facts to "plagiarize" from your blog site...:)

Glad to see you using your artistic talents as well! That's quite a unique ability...which reminds me, is Cynewulf still around? He was big on cartoons.

Good ol' Cyne...

If he saw your cartoons, I'm sure he was very impressed...have you ever sent yours into a News Paper?

Here in our local paper they feature reader's cartoons on the opinion page...it's really rather fun!

Ha.

Liked this one because I can relate.

I have heard it said the best way to get to know someone is to partake in an activity such as that...

Of course, my wife usually "supervises" while I get down and dirty. On the other hand, I often feeled banned from cooking (not that I am a bad cook, but that I am messy in the kitchen) so its OK.

Good luck with the treadmill... I go back and forth on that one... But that's why we joined a gym.

Doc Steech

Well, I'm glad you're using your talent and having fun here at TH at the same time...

As far as "going missing"...I guess everyone has to take a break now and then from the political debate...especially when it gets hot and heavy...
LOL!

How did you wind up on TH?

Hey VDaddy!

It always winds up being WAY more complicated than the box cover indicates...

I've pretty much always been the one who does the assembling, but sometimes things get too heavy for a girl, and I have to call on my manly man for help! Ha!

Actually, my husband and I have survived many projects over the years, and haven't killed each other yet! I was joking about that...we're a pretty good team.

I actually love the treadmill...on days when I don't want to go out to walk, I can do it in my backyard! So far it has held together nicely...LOL!

So you cook, huh...I'm impressed...my husband does a mean omelet...

Oh, I know...

Its kinda fun to do these projects together... And its good that ya'll have it...

I remember helping my wife paint her living room before we were married... That was fun. And a big learning experience.

"Before you were married"...

VDaddy...before you're married doesn't count...(only kidding, ha!)

I think one of the hardest things to do together is wallpaper...

THE worst experience we had was applying wallpaper to extremely HIGH walls...it took being VERY patient...:)

I've since removed every inch of it...I will never do that again! Paint is a lot easier!

Ah, yes...

...Who hasn't experienced "some assembly required" with the better half?

I have assembled at least a hundred treadmills and I can tell You there is only one company that has the exact number of needed parts, no more no less: PaceMaster.

What to do with those left over parts? C'mon....You know they get thrown into the famous "junk drawer" to be pushed around while looking for something else....for years to come.

Jimmy LOL!

PaceMaster,huh?...well, that's not what I got:(

What do you think about a "Weslo"?

I'm cracking up...the "famous junk drawer" that's EXACTLY where the "extra parts" went...Hahaha!

So how come you've put so many treaadmills together????Was that at work? Yikes!

Interesting...yeah Doc

my sister heard about it from Hugh's show, and talked me into blogging...;)so we are "sister bloggers"...you know my Sis...Sandra...you kindly mentioned us in your anniversary blog!

Anyway, glad you're on TH!

What did I miss?

I've got a lot of catching up to do. Hey, even the handyman has parts left over. My BowFlex works fine, but I have a plastic bag with quite a few extra parts, big and small!

Hey Sandra!

Ha!

So far so good...we survived the ordeal and the treadmill works! Not too shabby!

Don't know about the Bow Flex...that must have been a monster to put together! Yikes!

And Btw, Sandra

Seems your kitties like the Bow Flex... last time I was there at your place I noticed a couple of them sitting on the seat looking pretty confy...LOL

What's the matter

couldn't you read the instructions? Just because they are printed in Chinese is no excuse!

Give yourself credit, you got the project started which is most of the battle. And you had the resources to complete it the same day, even if your poor unsuspecting husband's problem solving abilities were taxed a little. It just made him feel important and needed (ie. loved), so where's the harm in that? And garnering a little humility yourself in the process wasn't such a bad thing was it? Another challenge faced together, another common problem conquered as a team. It's things like this that help keep a good marriage strong. God bless you both.

Yeah, Scottie...

We're still cookin'!...LOL

So, have you had a major project with your new bride yet?...:)

As Luck Would Have It

She and I are renovating a huge Victorian mansion together. In fact, I got her her own cordless drill as one of her Christmas presents last year, and a Dremel set for her carving hobby. She's a good helper and fun to work with.

Wow, Scottie!

That's so cool! Way to go. I've always admired people who have the ability to remodel an old structure that has so much history in it.

Now THAT's a project that can test a relationship for sure! Sounds like you've got the right partner for the job! LOL
