It appears that there may be a payroll-type tax that Ireland requires but this doesn't diminish my point. My point is that if we remove all taxes from the productivity side and replace them with taxes on the consumption side that we will be more competitive.
I also understand that many countries have a Value Added Tax (VAT) that gets refunded on exported items. In our increasingly global marketplace we have tax competition at work. Question is, will our country lead and gain properity or will we follow and go through economic pain in the mean time?
