A Fourth To Remember

What a heartwarming entry into your blog! I like the irony to which you pointed. They spent Independence Day pointing to the mutual dependence they would begin in that marriage. I agree with you about the immigration issue here: perhaps if we had more immigrants who came from other places, we would have a greater sense of appreciation for this country that we live in. So many of us have never been exposed to what it is like to live without freedom and opportunity and because of this, we have been given it at an exceptional degree, we easily take it for granted. My father came to this country with nothing, yet, because of the opportunities afforded to him in the United States never allowed us to lose sight of the blessing of what it is to be called an American. May your daughter and her husband be a shining example of the greatness of God who united them from two very different places so that they might have the privilege of becoming one in Christ.
