Great Post

It's nice to hear average Americans making a statement of support for our troops. This war may be the first where we realize we are at war but as a country don't act like it. It's a luxury never before been affored. Hopefully silent statements like the above will at least let our soliders know we care.

I heard something the other day

that this is the first war where the American people wasn't asked to do anything...but support the president and the troops.

It is the one thing they seem to have the hardest time doing.

If we had been asked to ration our food, darken our windows, restrict our movement...THAT we would have gladly done...a public flogging...but this, go on with your lives, oh no...well I guess for some people, part of their life IS finding fault with the president and dissing the military.

I also heard one of the WH press say that Bush has great speech writers and the man IS articulate...but the media hates him so badly, you only get the negative.

He said that someday, generations will look at this man who freed 50 MILLION Muslims from tyranny and wonder at the anger of this generation.

I think that we will be like the German people...in denial of the Holocaust...with one exception, our words have been written some where in the internet.

Well, MY children's children won't have to apologize.

U.S. Winning in Iraq

I'll be writing about the following on Monday and Tuesday on my blog: http://camp2008victorya.blogspot.com/

Question: Why is the media seemingly losing interest in the Iraq War?

Answer: According to columnist Jack Kelly of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the reason is simple: because of the Petraeus strategy, coupled with growing support from former Sunni insurgents, the U.S. is winning the war -- and al Qaeda is losing.

Conclusion: What's good news for America is no news for the media.

On Monday and Tuesday, I'll talk more about Iraq, and the suprising influence it might have on the election.

(Read Jack Kelly's Sunday, October 7 column in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Forum.)

Vote the Elephant

Please bring the following to the notice of your friends and online contacts.

Note: If you go to Cindy's site: http://ivotetheelephant.blogspot.com/ you'll see in the right sidebar a way to link your blog to I Vote the Elephant. If you do so, it should increase the number of visitors to you blog (perhaps dramatically), as well as give you links to pro-Republican sites. You can also accomplish these things by visiting my blog: http://camp2008victorya.blogspot.com/ and clicking on the "Elephant" logo. Thanks.
