Ha, I received a letter from my Senator, Mitch McConnell, telling me the Republican party had to unite and wouldn't I give some money. It had a survey enclosed which I filled out and also wrote on the form how disgusted and angry I was with the party and NO, I couldn't give any money because the government took it all.
I also scrawled in big writing that I wouldn't give a dime until they built the fence on the Mexican border like we told them to. And, no I wasn't going to donate money for that darn survey either. The letter told me they needed money to keep sending out the surveys. Too bad.
I can tell you I gave them an earful.

I get those letters all the time and I do almost exactly the same thing! :-)))
I don't usually go into that much detail but the message is the same.
If you and I are doing it then what do you bet there are loads of others and wouldn't you think they would get the message.

this is really pathetic
you know, though, dick morris has done a really good job on the dems. since mccain is also a dem, i can see why you'd be talking about dick morris in the same breath. it's going to be awfully interesting by november! we'll all be tearing our hair out. but (please don't get upset), we might all be getting down on our knees with our significant others (thanking our significant gods, or the ones we cling to) that we had a republican who was enough of a leftie to swipe votes from the party of implosion this year... holy liberal obamas, batman! he'll be playing messiah from a white house throne. i agree w/a recent caller to rush limbaugh. let's give the democrats mccain and we can have our own nomination!

Dick Morris Might Be Right
That's a pretty pathetic way to win an election. That's a pretty pathetic way to campaign-- that your opponent is so unacceptable that people will be forced to vote for you in the end. That gives you a great mandate! Meanwhile McLame's running around the country calling decent Republicans racists and sucking up to Democrats. I hate him. I might vote for Bob Barr, at least he'll legalize opium-smoking so we can just forget about everything and dwindle away.

You have a point there, Skep! I think we all need to take a tranquilizer and just go to sleep for a few years. Of course when we wake up the country may have gone all the way to h..l instead of halfway there like now.
I was talking to a friend today and she said she reads the things she gets in email and is so frustrated and disgusted because there is NOTHING we can do! She is getting to the point of just deleting stuff she sees is political and I empathize completely.

I started telling them no money back before the '06 midterms. I cited McCain's constant presence on the wrong side of the aisle and Bush stumping for illegals. The RNC answer? They fired the phone callers and got new ones. I predict this batch won't last either.

OH NO!! I didn't know they fired the callers!!
That's a shame. They were only trying to do their jobs. I knew that and tried not to get nasty with them.
They (the RNC) just don't get the clue!! Don't they have any idea how many of us are just plain furious??? Or why??
I have been sending back their polls for a couple years with nasty messages where it says please send money and also told them to take me off their lists.
