Thanks for your post Mr. Carter.

I believe in the borders in our country, even way up here, because they effect us here too. I have family in the lower 48 and I would be heart broken if something happened to them. Our borders are too pourous. We need Congress to stay true to their words and build that wall. If illegals can cross at will so can terrorists.

What many people, including our esteemed former-President impersonator, do not understand is that Alaska has its fair share of illegal immigrants. I attend a multi-cultural church and I know that some of our attendees are here illegally. There is a tacit agreement that nobody wants to tell me their green card status unless they actually hold a green card. I am very supportive of LEGAL immigrants and have worked in teaching English as a second language and citizenship. This does not mean I think anyone has a right to just walk into my national home and help themselves to the refrigerator. Those who enter politely by the front door are more than welcome in my book, but breaking the law is always a bad way to start out a relationship.

This country was founded and built by immigrants. I have no problem with people who abide by the rules and legaly become US citizens. But those who are here illegaly, and abuse our welfare system, accept Social Security without paying one dime into the system, make me want to say enough already. Build the wall, let the National Guard practice on the borders with live ammo, and enforce the laws that already exist. I am so tired of hearing rhetoric from politicians, both Dem and Rep who say their against illegal aliens, but then do nothing about it. Some of these politicians even hire these people to garden their lawns and do their nannying or do their laundry.

No more wishy washy politicians!!!
