FINALLY, FEDERAL JUDGE SETS TRIAL DATE FOR OBAMA'S ELIGIBILITY

Two schools of thought

First - BJ Clinton appointed Judge Carter....hmmmm.... (no pun intended)
Second BJ Clinton appointed Judge Carter... which side of the fence do we think he might be playing in Orange County?

''Carter did set a tentative trial date for Jan. 26, a trial that will only happen in what Carter called "the worst case scenario" for both sides.'' from the OC Weekly

Gar

"Carter had said in open court on July 13 that he intended to take the case concerning the qualifications of Barack Hussein Obama to serve as President of the United States seriously and see that the merits of the case would not be obscured by trivial technicalities,"
OC Weekly 8/25

Carter is USMC Ret. and a no-nonsense judge.

This trial should be welcomed by "birthers" and Obama supporters alike, as it will, hopefully, clear this issue.

Like you told Gar, I just want this to be closed.

Good to Know

I agree, I would like to see this issue closed once and for all. Conservatives need to unite and defeat this man in 2012 and I hate to waste time and effort on useless cause. I doubt anything tangible will come of this, but hopefully something will.

?

Not sure how she will get around the issue of standing. Perhaps Judge Carter will not address this, but certainly higher courts -- at least SCOTUS -- will. Each and every prior case has been dismissed on this (IMHO) specious issue. I do not understand how the Supreme Court of this land can dismiss any case brought to it by a citizen of this country questioning the qualifications of a candidate for the highest office of the land on the basis of lack of standing, but they bloody well have.
