Comment on: Elusive Truth

For shame, Sean (and the rest of you Ron Paul deniers)

Mr. Lewis

Your opinions regarding Dr. Paul's legitimacy and integrity are without merit as he has demonstrated his "walk the talk" honesty for 10 terms in the house. I wanted to state that knowing full well that the odds of my changing your mind in 300 or so words are zilch.

In my estimation Dr. Paul is in the right place at the right time, to use a cliche, to be sure it is more of a need situation than a want.

4 Keys of a Ron Paul Presidency.

1. Most important of them would be the return to a Constitutional Executive. As you stated much damage has been done and who better to undo it than the man who has been advocating a return to Constitutional principles since he first entered office.

2. Non-interventionist Foreign Policy is a must to avoid even greater power given to China through borrowing, to pay for the mass of entitlements we have racked up and to rebuild a tired and worn military. This also correlates to the 3rd Key.

3. Securing the boarders with troops or National guardsmen or here's a novel idea, the boarder guards we sent to Iraq.

4. Make no mistake this one is critical. MONETARY POLICY. Fiat currency gives far too much power to those that can freely print it, the private bank - Federal Reserve. It also enables politicians to spend and promise to no end. History has shown that a fiat currency is doomed to failure, how long it takes is variable; those who end up bearing the greatest wound are the middle class and lower, the vast majority of Americans. Returning to a sound currency as well as taking the power to coin it out of the hands of private bankers will improve this country a great deal.
