Hi to all in Eng 102 and to Doug.
I respect your honesty and participation in the class discussions. I agree with most of what you have posted on the blog. You remind me of someone not afraid to speak his mind and tell the truth, even when it is not PC. Not only do we have the right to agree or disagree we have the obligation to change that which we can. With the freedoms that I and many before me have defended we should revel and remember days like holidays and other significant events in our lives as well. It disturbed me as well that noone recalled the devestating event of 9/11.
One last note, when will we start being resposible and held accountable for our actions and inactions. When we need the police they are there and we love them but if they cite us for an infraction they are hated and insulted instead of respected. Everyone loves a soldier in time of war but we are an unnecessary expense in peacetime. Thank those that serve the public and be grateful they are there when we need them.
