Comment on: Right for America

The Dilemma of Huckabee Supporters

Romney

I hope he gets elected, but can he win against the Demokrat steamroller?America seems to be groveling at the feet of these Liberal scum candidates.

Donnie: You are Watching too Much MSM

Go to the people and ask about Hitlery and Obama. The people will elect the next President, not the MSM.

In Northwest Mississippi, everyone I talk to (both black and white) can not stand Hitlery. Obama fares alittle better; but not much. It appears that the "Middle Class" is worried about future tax increases that the Dumocrats WILL implement.

(On the negative side, those on the "Welfare" rolls will vote Dumocrat.)

common sense

i for one am a little disappointed that huckabee is not going to win. if someone would do a critical analysis on the issues, they would see that huckabees' position on these issues are ones of common sense. the real problem is that the average american is simply unwilling or unable to look at the issues with critical reflection. i think mccain will be the next president, and the ramifications of that will be a further decline in the moral fiber of society, higher taxes, and bigger government among other things. sadly reinforces the old adage "common sense is not so common"

american ideals

i just hope and pray the american people will learn something from the results of this election. and probably the most important would be to remember the ideals this nation was founded on(christian), and that we need to get back to those ideals if we ever have hopes of becoming a great country again.

No dilemma here!

I have no problem pulling that lever for Huckabee over Romney. Stop spouting this Romney-propaganda & read the polls for pete's sake - the majority of Huck's supporters would go to McCain if he dropped out. Huckabee is siphoning McCain votes if anything. Look it up at Fox's latest poll or even Rasmussen - this is fact not speculation.

Romney has alienated huge quantities of people (& even more worrisome, does not seem to understand why or else doesn't care). This is not a man capable of uniting his party behind him let alone his country.

If conservatives are to have any chance, it would be for Romney to recognize that he is VERY UNPOPULAR and doesn't stand a chance to win the GOP nomination & stand down to Huckabee - if Romney can't even win his own party, how could he seriously beat a Hillary or Obama in the general?

Clearly Romney is willing to do or say whatever it takes to be president - why does he want it so bad?

Politics is full of manipulation, dirty tricks & tactics and it can be hard to know which story to believe, but I look at what Romney did for MA in just one term as governor (couldn't get re-elected) - and the fact that McCain almost beat Romney on his home turf - and what Huckabee did for AR during his time. Huckabee walked away with a huge majority in his home state with virtually no effort.

When you compare their records, it's easy to see why. (And Romney-care is about to ask the feds for a $1.4b bailout)

Also the possibility of a brokered convention is still a very viable scenario! Try this one on for size: a vote for Huckabee is a vote for a brokered convention! We could end up with a whole different nominee than the current field!

Anyway, don't listen to the pundits & talking heads - wasn't that long ago they were telling us to resign ourselves to Giuliani - exercise your own due diligence: mikehuckabee.com and hucksarmy.com

It's a catch 22!

It's almost like "damned if you do, damned if you don't." I don't want a Democrat choosing judges, but I don't want a pseudo-conservative in the White House. I think if people don't vote for McCain, they should instead vote 3rd party and not Demerroid.
