Is Obama ligit?? Hawaii holds the key

We could have a constitutional crisis. All of his executive actions as president would be void if indeed he is not constitutionaly qualified. I will be watching December 5. good post SK.

Few judges take a literal approach to the constitution, even the best reconstructionists look for intent. And the intent of the clause in the constitution:

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..."

Clearly, natural born includes direct parentage.

A side note, Winston Churchill was likewise qualified to be President, and had a strong American Heritage, with a number of maternal ancestors who fought against the British.

You make good points but I just think if there were ANYTHING to the rumors it would have come out before primaries. The Clinton's would have found out for sure, so I think it is a bogus issue, but should be resolved early so we can move on to other things like "Fairnes" doctrine, off shore Oil, etc!

The way I understand "natural born" they can be born to a citizen of the United States whether here or abroad, unless he was declared a citizen of Kenya.

I think the other big question is his time that he studied in Indonesia, where at the time of his studies they required you to DENOUNCE your citizenship to ANY other country. So even IF he were a US citizen, when and where did he reapply? Where are THOSE papers? I also did a blog on his birth certificate and the one that he is showing only on a website, not in person, is a forgery! If he has nothing to hide let him show it to an expert to examine it! There is a very good site that disputes the legitimacy of his "supposed" colb!

Also, ironically the organization that makes birth certificates for Hawaii is in Chicago! Convenient, isn't it?

I believe I have to side with Kevin on this one. If the Clinton machine couldn't come up with anything, I feel pretty confident in saying ain't nobody comin up with nothin. Im afraid this will prove to be nothing more than a great big waste of precious time.

There is probably something to this, however proving it is another kettle of fish. It should be looked into though.

Have signed multiple petitions, sent off letters to all 9 SC Justices, etc. If it's a rumor, why doesn't Obama just settle it once and for all by providing acceptable proof. He's simply ignoring it and media is mum about it.........even FOX news, Rush, Sean.......everybody!

What many others have over these and previous elections. The Democrats can care less about their constituency, and what our wishes are.

I will agree that this is a mysterious situation, as are many aspects of Obama's candidacy and soon to be presidency. Many questions remain unanswered by him directly. This is but one of them. I certainly understand a hesitancy of the judiciary to pursue this. It very well could result as crossbow said, a constitutional crisis. However, what I expect is the SCOTUS will find no evidence to deny Obama the Presidency and his citizenship will be established by virtue of his American mother. Not necessarily the result we would like, but that is my prediction.

I agree. I mean how long has it been known about the birth cirtificate thing?? It is gonna be very interesting to see the bills this guy signs. I would like to see them blame those on Bush.

We'll probably never know the truth. This will be covered up no doubt in many ways by the forces behind the puppet Obama.

We'll see what happens. It's interesting that none of the MSM including Fox has said a word on this. Makes me think perhaps it's bogus. But who knows.
