Help Stop Harvey Milk Day--Call Governor Schwarzenegger--No on A.B. 2567

Hi Chair! I wish I lived in

California (just long enough to vote) so I could vote against that travesty. Harvey Milk? What is his claim to fame other than being gay? I hope that there are still enough straight voters in CA to keep this kind of BS from becoming law.
Regards,
G.

Inforce AB2567 is atrocity!

A day to Commemorate Harvey Milk's life style?
What did he do, that we should be so proud of
to teach the children to follow?
I hope there is still the will of the good people of this country who makes the decisions, not a few erratic, bad habit, distortionate and sodominded life style, the ones who make the last call.
God have mercy on America.

Sure, Keep Gay People Marginalized

Why give gay kids a gay hero? They are just little perverts anyway, right? For that matter, it's dangerous to "normalize" anything gay. It sort of dampens the hatred which is such a part of energizing the base. After all, it's hard to get unity on Roe v. Wade and the GOP's worst nightmare is overturning it (due to certain backlash) but the religious right seems to enjoy getting played. The other issue is evolution. Again, most of the GOP don't want THEIR children to be instructed in superstition over science. John McCain certainly doesn't.

So that leaves gay hate - which is well represented by the preceding comments.

BTW, luz, being gay is not a lifestyle. Gay people are not defined by their sexual orientation. Furthermore, with or without Harvey Milk, you have about as much choice over whether your kid is gay as you do about their eye color. And Garnet, if nothing else, Milk proved that diversity didn't cause the world to come to an end.
