This a little off the subject but I have permission from Pepp to share this. Dave is a 'Nam Vet who was severely burned by a phosphorous grenade. He was on a patrol boat (like Jon Carry) patrolling one of the rivers in Vietnam. The boat came under fire from the Cong on shore. Dave had the grenade up by his right ear when a stray Cong round hit it and it exploded.
Dave's entire right side of his face and head were burned. You can imagine what he looked like. When he is asked what happened, he jokes and says he was bobbing for french fries.
Dave has a burden on his heart for the men and women who have been severely wounded or injured (lost limbs, burned, etc) in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has a ranch in Westcliff, Colorado whose sole purpose is emotional rehabilitation and therapy for these dear men and women. He is adamant that these wounded and injured will not be ignored like those who returned from "Nam emotionally destroyed.

Yep, I'm getting tired of going around in circles on that 08 subject. I am set in my decision on the socialists. I will never vote for one. I will not sit out an election if there is a repub light. I see differences between them and socialists. It's a matter of issues. It seems all the repub lights are tepid on the illegal immigration issue. But, the dimocraps would be even worse.

I think with a repub we have a better chance to get another conservative judge on the SOTUS. That is not possible with a socialist.

To The Editor, Rocky Mountain News:
I am gravely concerned that the actions of the Democratic leaderships in the US House and US Senate are going to result in serious consequences for our country. Playing the word games, pontificating, and blustering can only result in giving aid and comfort to our enemy, the Islamic Fascists, and affecting the morale of our brave men and women who are fighting this war. Make no mistake. We are in a war for the survival of Western Civilization and if we do not prevail, I’m afraid that the consequences will be horrendous.
Have they given any thought to the possibility that the enemy might obtain nukes? If we cut and run like we did in Vietnam, are they prepared to deal with carnage and bloodshed that is sure to occur in Iraq?
I’m just an old Korean War veteran, but even I understand that the best defense is a strong offense. In my opinion, we are keeping our enemy off balance by taking them on in their backyard. If we don’t, I’m afraid we will end up like Israel trying to defend many thousand soft targets here at home.
Please, America, stand up for our troops and the mission that they are trying to accomplish. Do not be swayed by the rhetoric emanating from the Democratic leadership.

Yeah, I write my reps at least once a week. My latest writings to them burned their ears and eyes, believe me. I keep on their backs. They probably hate me for it because I'm always griping about the borders being open. This week I told them all they need to be fired and thrown out of office so we can get someone who pays attention to Americans and not illegal aliens.
Needless to say it was nasty. I wrote Brown and told him he belongs to a loser party with a that loser hary reid and that guy needs to be tried for treason for not supporting our troops.
