Hey man it's no big deal!

Just make sure you work your butt off for the next 10 years and make sure you have around $5 mill saved in gold and currencies outside of the US. You will be the lucky one! All those sheeple that used to be middle class, thank god we are getting rid of that part of the society! I'm going to work my butt off! Trust me in 10 years you won't want to be part the whole middle class thing!

Hey some advice if you can't get that kinda money! Keep your Lawn equipment in good working order, also your cleaning equipment. Rich people need people to do their lawns and clean their house and if your lucky, maybe they'll even give you servants quarters!

You're right though all that could be averted by electing Dr. Paul, but the chickenhawks won't allow it.

Correction

You state that the war in Iraq costs 1 trillion dollars per year.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, it costs 200 million per day. Do the math - 73 billion a year, a far cry from 1 trillion.
I don't know where you got your figure, but it's greatly exaggerated.
As a comparison, the Medicaid (not Medicare) program is 210 billion a year.

Countryman

You, of course, are correct. I am not sure where I got that original figure, but it was obviously wrong. I have made the appropriate corrections to the article.

Reasonable Plans

Sorry now is not the time to eliminate such things as a strong Military and Homeland Security department.

The answer is to fix Soc Security and cut back on gov discretionary spending.

The Rep Paul answer is to throw out everything. Cut the whole deartments instead of the waste. It is unreasonable to think that will be possible to do even if he was President. If it is to drastic for us on the right the left will eat him alive.

In the military we are taught that a plan that has no reasonable chance of succcess can not be your primary plan. Since getting rid of entire cabinets, reverting to gold standard and ending the IRS is NOT going to happen, what is his REAL plan? He simply doesn't have one.

I like Rep Pauls Ideas. I like his commitment and his fiscal intentions.

But the majority of his positions are wrong. I wrote a blog about him would be interested on your thoughts on it.
