Re Their Children
Excellent post!! I do not know how parents cope with all the school agandas, video games, rap music, internet!. My only son died at age 9 in 1986 so I missed all the tech games and videos etc with him. If parents are not well grounded themselves I see no way they can raise their kids to avoid all the garbage out there. Parents must do it at home but all parents MUST unite to force school boards to teach decent American traditional values and cut out the political correctness crap!

They are our future, to be instructed the correct way. Robbing them of their innocence, and leading them down a path of untruth is not an option for us.

Their Children
The youth are being brainwashed by liberal biased teachings in high school and college. They are taught that socialism is good and capitalism is bad. I think teachers that do not teach both sides of an issue should be fired or not tenured. Thus, it is up to parents to make sure "their children" get a balanced education. Unfortunately, good parenting is becoming harder to find these days. Keep up the good work.

Unless a "revolution" occurs in the next 3 years, sadly I see no way to stop the indoctrination in the public schools.
Home schooling is the only option, unless a "revolution" occurs.

There should be an accountabilty of the schools for the cirriculum they teach. Involvment by parents is a must.

I believe you are right on that. We are going to home school our girls.....as long as we can with finances and all. I will not let my children be in conflict with God's ways.
It's tough because everything is "acceptable" and they are taught "tolerence".
Thank You for stopping by...God Bless!!

Yet another fight that needs to be picked. Educators WORK FOR US! WE THE PEOPLE pay their salaries. Go to a School Board Meeting and REMIND THEM of this fact.

It is a tough battle...I would probably end up going to jail...God knows this...thats why we are doing the home schooling as long as we can.
Every time we here in Colorado get a new ballot or initiative or bill to vote on for the Schools....I always vote no....unless it specifically dictates what the funds are being used for. They hardly ever do....the current system needs to be fixed before I send it any new funds, but you know how that works!
Take Care....God bless!!

Sixty percent of an 8th grade class in Chicago has flunked and will not graduate with their class, Jason. Where were their parents? I saw a headline that a 14 year old sent 14,000 text messages in one month! Where were her parents? And who paid that bill???
There is so much stress in families. Everyone is struggling these days. For many, sitting down to a meal together and saying grace is a rarity reserved for holidays. Parental responsibility of promoting good values and faith in a healthy home environment, is the key component to "cut out the political correctness crap!" as Kevin put it so well!

For what it's worth (I don't have children) I say Kudos on your post and everone's discussions are top notch. My compliments to all.
While I don't have kids, I do have to live with the results of the indoctrinations taking place. It ain't pretty at the local malls.
I too have to ask where the parents are and yet, I am not raising children in a culture that rewards both parents working and sending their little ones off to the re-education camps called public education.
Again, great post Jason!

Great post, sir. Your definition of foolish is the key to our responsibilities as parents.
A child is a child, is a child. They have not learned the lessons needed to confront reality and, though they'll argue the point, need the stearn but loving hand of a mother AND father teaching them what is necessary: ideas such as what is right doesn't always feel good, what everybody else is doing is probably wrong, life's pleasures aren't easily gained, etc.
The false teachings of a utopian minded education system does no child any good. Utopia is Heaven, not earthly reality. Children need regular doses of what reality has to offer, administered with the loving care only parents know how to give.
Good lessons here.

Thank you for your comments!! As parents we need God blessings upon us, then in turn we need to bless our children...and they will receive both
When we bless our kids, the self esteem grows, and so does their potential.
Great Points Glenn!!

Yes...most children can spot frauds or fraudulent thinking. If we lead by example of tenderness they will be drawn towards what is good and correct.

Good post. Obama was the first presidential candidate to advertise on video games. I may be a kid to most posters here, but to those a little younger than me, I see them taking religion for granted. I was raised a pastors kid, but never really recognized the significance of the good book till college when I was on my own my first year in 2004. Amazing what Christ can do when you don't look for it though!

Good to see you...
I agree and hear you...I went to a Christian school for 11 years, raised in a Christian home, and then.....bang the downward spiral hit for about 20 years. It is for certain...God never leaves you or forsakes you,,,even in the dark times.
