Thomas Sowell

is one of my very favorit pundits. Like you, I almost always agree with him. In fact, I can't recall, off the top of my head, any time that I've disagreed. There probably have been a time or two, but it was insignifigant enough that I can't recall it. He is so incredibly common sense and down to earth........what's to disagree with? Why couldn't he have been our first black President? He's probably far too smart.

Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams are the two writers I always read when I go to TH. And John Stossel. Charles Krauthammer is another, though from time to time I have had disagreements with him, mostly when he tries to dabble in specific economic problems. The rest are a bit more hit and miss, though there are many I still enjoy (Malkin, Coulter, some Morris, some Brent Bozell, David Limbaugh). Actually TH has a pretty good lineup (and I don't say that just because they featured me once, and put two of my articles in their print magazine -- though I will stop saying nice things if they don't publish me again. Are you listening, Chris???)

To answer your question, I think, like most people, Dr. Sowell is just not interested in the job. I know I have no interest in holding public office. I don't like pleading for votes, appeasing the crowd, schmoozing with politicos and fund raisers, constantly campaigning, and voting on bills which I lack the time to truly comprehend, and, in addition to all that, I don't find telling people what to do satisfying, so the job holds no appeal. Much as politics fascinates me, a political career does not.

Yep, I like all the same

ones you like. Walter Williams will even respond if you email him. I like David Limbaugh a lot and Michael Reagan pretty much too. I had one article in TH print magazine, but only one. Feel flattered at that.

I forgot about Michael Reagan. Back when I worked 3 to 11 and had a long drive home at night I used to listen to his radio show and enjoyed it quite a bit. He was one of the more calm, moderate conservatives, in tone, not beliefs.
