Mr President, George W Bush...Thank You.

You're right SK

about keeping us safe. There is no question about that-even when the Libs cry about "unwarrented servailence"- just look at world war 2 to see what measures were taken to keep us safe. Now, all these spending bills Bush signed is another story.

Snow

Right on!!

It seems all of things are escalating, with turmoil for Odumbo. If he handles these things even half as well as bush did in the defense of our country,, we are still in store for a bad ride.

Nice Post!!

Jason

Yes President Bush has looked Out

for our best interest in spite of the dead weight!

Thank you President Bush!

Watch Dawg

Thanks! about those spending bills---Bush had help on those. But that is nothing compared to what is coming our way with the Obamamiester.

Jason

totally agree Bro! even as I write this there is turmoil in the Dems camp--it does seem that the honeymoon is over already! There is contention among democrats about the Obamamiesters request for some of the bailout money Hmmmm we will see.

Cindy

Yes, he has and Mr Bush rightly desurves credit for helping to keep us safe from the insane terrorists who hate freedom.

Snow Knight

I am going to miss W. Very much. 2653 days without an attack on US Soil. He deserves our graditutde.

Karl Rove posted this on Twitter: KarlRove Send a farewell letter to President Bush—Email gwbfarewell@gmail.com [no attachments] and I'll give him your note

I sent one.

W

there are a lot of things you can say about the President, but no attacks since 9/11 trumps most of them. Good post Snow.....

American Sweetheart

Thank you for this address. I am in the process of sending one!
Thank you!

Snow

I have not always agreed with everything that President Bush has done, but I found myself really saddened when he gave his goodbye speech the other night.

As I posted on another post, I just wanted to yell out, "Good God man, don't leave, I want to stay safe."

I will miss him.

AmSwt

Yes, thanks!! I am writing another one and trust me time will vindacate Mr Bush.

President Bush's farewell speech

was brief and terse, well-spoken. I disagreed with some of his assessment of his presidency, but not that we'd not had another terrorist attack.

Three points: (1) Barack Obama went out for dinner at the moment the speech commenced rather than take a few minutes to be audience. (2) The news organizations at ABC, CBS, and NBC devoted 58 seconds total, combined, on it. (3) George W. Bush is a gentleman with the civility to make our own Edna Eagle smile.

Davcat

Thanks! and that will still stand true whether the lib-run media accepts it or not!!!

Sue

I agree-totally. Just yestrday Obama signed an order to close gitmo---Oh what a signal to send to our enimies now.

Drpete

When Bush waved before he got in the helicopter my heart sunk---because we will not see such leadership in the presant occupier of the white house. There is hpoe---the last time I looked at the constitution it still said --We the people!

snow knight

GITMO did not really surprise me, but in a way it did. I did not think that would be an executive order so soon. I know Bush did want to close it, but again, where to put these people?

I would have announced closing it, but have a plan to say where the people would go, not "I don't know." That is really not cutting it for something this important.

Back in December when I saw Mrs. Bush get the Christmas tree, it was sad. It was the last tree for herto receive at the White House. When Bush did his farewell address, I just thought, "Good god man, stay and keep me safe." When he got on the helicoptor and waved back, I thought good bye to you and thank you."

Thanks Snow

It's so nice to hear someone acknowledge the good things President Bush accomplished while in office. The way the libs & media treated him is inexcusable.

Very nice post.

Sue

Yeah-my feelings too. I wonder how the Lib-leftist press will handle these goons who most probably be in our country! scary!!

Bobbie

Hey--this is just the biginning!! Mr Bush will have his good accomplishments covered by yours truly. Hey we need to read things other than the Obama brainwash.

Nice

work SK. Pres. Bush may not have done everything that was wanted of him, but at least we are still alive to gripe about it.

Snow Knight

I'm not going to miss Bush.....I miss him as president already.

Oh, well, we only have four years to go....less if Odumbo makes some mistake and gets canned, but we can tough it out.

We survived Carter after all, and maybe enough people will make an uproar that Congress will feel constrained to keep Obama in check.

Good job, Snow Knight....great blog you have. I'll be back to read more definitely.

Apollyon67-welcome

agreed-and the next post in this series will share more of the good his administration has done for America-thanks for stopping by!

Curtal Friar-welcome

He already made several--closing Gitmo was a biggie--I wonder if that is the "Obama blunder" that we knew would happen because of his inexperance--time will tell-Thanks for commenting! you are wellcome anytime at "the Castle"

snow knight

Well they can all go to Murtha's district. He said they are not really a threat or very dangerous. Just hanging out down there getting a tan!

If you are going to do something with closing GITMO, have a plan. Where are they going? Don't have that part down yet!
