Total agreement
Indaviduals using the Indavidual God-given gifts that were given them IN the Free Nation-under God made this nation. The "progressives" will never "get it" because they are so brainwashed by eletist social thought. It is high time WE the people again show the way--it is not too late!

Well put. If only our government would believe in America, our economic system, and especially the people, we might have recovered faster. This administration is so full of elitists they only believe they are the only remedy to today's woes.
I've also seen those signs on I-25. I usually ignore them.

Sorry, Jason, but I cannot agree with
anything you said. You're arguing against this fascist government and in favor of another fascist government, just one that sees things as you do. Me? I want liberty, not tyranny.
If Entity A can produce widget X at $8 and widget Y at $12, ceteris paribus, and Entity B can produce widget X at $7 and widget Y at $5; B should buy Xs from A, ans switch production capacity to Y. And it matters NOT whether A and B are from the same country. Everyone wins.
Companies in the USA exporting jobs overseas has net-resulted in an INCREASE in employment in the USA, and an INCREASE in average wage.
All of that said, if you want even greater investment withing the USA and an increase in both GDP and employment, fight for the FairTax.

The problem now is that Japan and China own us . Lock stock and barrel. We can't buy or sell American because the Feds have driven out free enterprise here and we are stuck with a global economy which Obama thinks is more important than the Dow!! Of course, investors like myself hate this. Drop by my newest on the UN>Thanks.

We could make it here
if the government would get out of business.
Government has no business in business.
Until we get back to a True market based system, we're going to be a "service" economy.

simple solution
for keeping jobs in America. Cut taxes. If we cut taxes, not only would businesses and jobs come back, but foreign companies will also seek refuge from their taxes and hire American workers. This would itself increase revenue for all including the government. Gee, is it really that easy? Yes it is. Did you get a Strong's Concordance yet?

Well said...I hear you
Everyone wins if the product in not inferior. Cutting corners are what Manufacturers do to an extent. Some companies also eliminate jobs here, in favor of that.
I know that we can never be totally self sufficient, but at one time we were close.
Thanks for stopping in Dr Pete!!

Hey, Jason!
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signs are a joke that is not at all funny.
About three weeks ago, I spent a few days in Georgia visiting my sister and my niece (who is in the USAF and now back on a 90 day deployment to Iraq/Afghanistan, JSTARS). Being women, we went to the mall! My husband wanted some new Levis (can`t find his size here, too tall) and Durango cowboy boots. Well, the Levis were made in Mexico and the Durango boots? Made in China.
I think it all comes down to employer taxes/employee benefits. The cost of manufacturing/producing the product versus potential profit is too high and so many businesses go off shore.

So this thing is working out better than they expected, said Joe Biden.
It is doing wonders in CA. Our unemployment is only 12.2%. We haven't blown Michigan out of the water yet, but I am sure we will.
