141say, I have one tomorrow about a student at a very liberal college. Appreciate it. Conservapedia is exactly the kind of thing the conservative movement should be developing.

Responding to your biography
I will be moving back to Oregon soon, and what I would love to see is a credible challenge to Peter Defazio in the 4th district in Oregon. He has been in that seat since the early 80's and only once or twice really been challenged. Is your campaign stuff just in the Pennsylvania area?
Also, somewhere on this site, I heard you say that Pennsylvania lost so many seats because of weak Senate and Governor candidates. What was weak about Santorum? I had a lot of respect for the things he said regarding the war. I am just curious about that.
Thanks

Challenging Entrenched Candidates
I'd be willing to help with the Oregon race you mention. I honestly don't know yet what resources will be available to provide assistance, but there will be some. It's very "early" in a sense, but these races don't get won in the last 3-6 months before the election. They get won in the last 18 months, and we're there now. Send me your email -- mine is on this page -- and we'll see what we can do.
Note: DeFazio is not beatable in just one race, which discourages strong competition. If you can look up Don Sherwood on Wikipedia.com, note the challenge to him by Kathy Scott (in eastern PA). Also, read about the challenge by Diana Lynn Irey to John Murtha (a campaign in which I participated). Also, look at the Murphy (Dem.) challenge to Tim Fitzpatrick. These will give you some ideas perhaps.
I am a big fan of Rick Santorum and his principled stand on issues. For various reasons, Rick lost the support of a massive number of Pennylvanians, and -- even though he spent a huge amount of money -- never got it back. He started out the campaign behind 60% to 40% and ended it on election day between 59% to 41%. Lynn Swann, a wonderful man, ran for Govenor -- and lost by a slightly higher margin than Santorum. Republcians lost several congressional seats by slim margins and the poor performance by the statewide candidates didn't help. It would take volumes to discuss "what happened" with Rick and Lynn.
People like DeFazio, who might be a decent guy for all I know, are bad for America. Mike Doyle in PA (Pittsburgh) resemble DeFazio in that they never draw any significant opposition.
If you really want to get into how challengers can sneak up on a powerful incumbent, google the Christine Todd Whitman versus Bill Bradley (quite a while ago).
I may write a column on this stuff next week.
For people to work together at a distance, they need to have each other's e-mail addresses -- and with both pledging not to misuse them.
