Why Fred Thompson?

Romney can win over

Southerner conservative Christians over time. His Mormon faith, in the end will not be the reeason he either wins or loses in the South and among Christians. In fact, his obvious deep faith and character and lack of skeletons will be a net asset. I am a Southern Baptist in the South and I lean to Mitt. Mitt's present standing is due to his opponents' name recognition and fame. Mitt can win. I think it will boil down to Mitt or Fred in the end.

Gamecock

I hope you're right. I would like to see that combination. I think any combination of Romney, Thompson, or Gingrich would be very exciting.

Mitt has a Good Chance

Mitt can win if Evangelicals jump over the hurdle of Intolerance. Jesus said that those that were not against him were for him. Certainly Mitt, as a Mormon, is not against him. Neither was John F. Kennedy against him. He was a Roman Catholic, yet tolerance prevailed.
