Justin Haskins

I have many posts up about the stimulus and about bailouts there should be none. Auto bailout, bank bailouts should be none at all.

There are cycles, the economy will come back no matter what we will do.

It's amazing that the very people that did this to the economy want us to now trust them to fix it.

Justin

Big fat pile of pork coming down the beltway!

I also find it interesting when asked how the other bailout is working, no real answer there. If things are not turning around with the first $350 billion, why is that? Hmmm!

I think they all be ashamed of this bill. It is not out there to help the American people, but their own agendas. And calling it a stimulus package, please. That is a giant. That transparency is just a pile of cement.

Thank you for the links.

It is frightening

how fast the Troika of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi are pushing through full-blown socialism. The power has gone to their heads in a heartbeat.

Dazzel them with brilliance....

or baffle them with B.S.

The Obama message is directed at a select audience. It is the "some of the people all the time" democrats. It would be one thing if those who supported the policy of income redistribution were intolerant of convenient self serving rationalization, it would be another if they had a founding moral principle. So we come to what the "thing" is, a willingness to listen to the siren song of "hope" that turns us to beasts.

Tell those "people" what they want to hear and then do what you need to do to pay off your contributors.

The demonicRATs still can't get elected if they reveal their true intentions.

Justin

Yeah, any way you look at this stimulus package Obama is pushing through Congress, it's no good.

But I fear it's going through no matter what. The Democrats are hell-bent on passing it and the consequences be d*mned.

There's still a chance it will be stopped in the Senate, but I think that's a fool's hope.

The real issue for us now is not what's wrong with the stimulus package and why it should not be voted in, but rather what we can do to fix the damage wrought by this travesty.

Our federal government is increasingly out of touch with the people they're supposed to serve, and at odds with economic reality.

Eventually, I think it's gonna take a revolution, because otherwise, the only future I see is continued growth and expansion.

When a bully is allowed to get away with something, he's not only gonna continue, but will eventually increase the abuse. The only thing that really stops the bully or effectively gets his attention is a busted lip and a black eye. It's time for our federal government in general and the democrats in particular to get exactly that.

Perhaps you are right. However, I do believe VERY few bailouts are in fact needed from time to time. The problem is that there are no conditions with the bailouts.

Sue

You are absolutely right Sue. Also, do you ever see Democratic politicians on television defending this stimulus package? I never do...NEVER. It is hard to defend something that has no basis in logic.

The Crawfish

Our fears about liberalism is being confirmed. When conservatives were screaming that Obama was not the "MODERATE SAVIOR" everyone had declared him to be, people said we were crazy and bi-partisan. But now look....Obama is about to pass through the biggest piece of government control legislation ever, next to FDR. He is proping up liberal organizations who agree with him and have supported him. He is far from moderate.

Bad news

You make a good point here. Realistically, Obama convinced the country he was something that, in reality, he was not. He did a great job of it too. Obama stole a page straight from the Clinton playbook and we are all paying for it now.

Friar

Awesome point. How do we go about doing this though? What is "black eye" politics? I am going to write a piece on this point exactly soon. My belief is this: conservatives need to mobilize and need to begin focusing on the future TODAY. We cannot wait another year or another month or even another day. We conservatives need to make significant changes to the way we do business and we need to do it soon. Our ideas are fantastic, our beliefs are virtuous, but our communication skills to those who are in the middle or disagree with us are terrible.
