I have a friend that owned a small business whose wife was a career school teacher. She had obviously partaken of the NEA Kool-Aid and was railing one evening about how the rich didn't pay their fair share of taxes.

When I pointed out to her that she was in the very group she was railing about, she attempted to qualify her positon by saying she meant the people that employed accountants and lawyers to lower their taxes.

When I dropped the names of her lawyer and accountant, both of which were quite industrious on their behalf in reducing their burdensome taxes, she said I just didn't get it.

Her husband sure got it though. They were trying to scrape up tens of thousands of dollars to pay their income taxes on his business that year.
