The Liberal Lipstick Trap

Excuse me, but...
Maybe you don't realize that this is the same analogy that Sen. McCain himself used about Sen. Hillary Clinton’s health care plan just last year.
To be exact he said, "I think they put some lipstick on a pig," to the Des Moines Rotary Club when asked if he could put a price tag on Hillarycare, "but it's still a pig."
I find your comment about the monkey extremely offensive, being a black man myself. It's too bad there are still so many narrow minded people out there who are passive-aggressively prejudice.
I believe we all make our choices in life, and with 5 children to raise, Sarah Palin has obviously already made hers.
Being governor in a state of only 670,000 people for a whooping 2 years hardly qualifies her to be vice-president. Get real.

As usual, you just made my point. McCain's comments were clearly outlined as a criticism of Hillary Clinton's policies - Barak Obama's were just as clearly a direct smear of Governor Palin.
And your "offense" at the hypothetical remark I used is the perfect example of liberal hypocrisy - why did you ASSUME that the word monkey was directed at Obama? For exactly the same reason that any rational person would know that Obama's lipstick remark was clearly intended as a slur against Governor Palin - a usual, a liberal wants it both ways.
Sarah Palin has more guts in her pinky finger than Obama has in his entire body - he isn't even man enough to own up to his remarks.
Oh, and can the "racist" crap - I'd bet a dinner at Manny's that I have more black friends than you have white friends.

Trivial Distractions
It amazes me that the voting public and the media can be
so easily distracted from real issues by a smoke-screen of
change and simple little emotional ploys like this.
It meant nothing, it MEANS nothing and yet, we will discuss
it for weeks and it will have some small measurable effect
on how the sheep cast their votes.
It’s an insult to intelligence.
Maybe they are counting on enough stupid people to
be distracted by this that it will make a difference.
Stinky bait…… pass.

Getting it Right
Spin it any way you like, she's still not qualified. Just the fact that she has chosen to put her own career over the needs of her children is a very clear indication of her character. If guts were all it takes to be vice president we could have any red-neck in office.
The real hypocrite here is John McCain, and you of course. I've read your blogs before and the reference to Messia, etc. get old fast. I will not be returning and you can continue to spout your crap to no one.

Tom Gets It Right
The "pig-gate" controversy is indeed a trivial distraction. The real issues are reducing the size and cost of an exploding federal budget, reigning in entitlements, providing real reform of education instead of merely throwing more money at a failing system, and reducing taxes on the upper half of tax-payers (the ones who create the majority of the jobs) who are being buried under an ever larger tax burden.
