Why not bomb Mecca?

Seems to me that it is always an error to let the enemy know how far you will or will not go to obtain victory.

If this is a war for the survival of western civilization, then it seems obvious that if your survival is in question, then there is little a country won't ultimately consider doing if it helps to guarantee their survival.

Certainly if there is something that we are NOT willing to do, it would be wise to keep that to ourselves.

You got to remember that AQ is counter-reformation in action...which means that a moderating or progressive muslim cultural sea change needs to be repressed by them (meaning that the changes in muslim culture are already so apparent to the radicals that they feel the need to be militant not just with the source of the "corruption" but with those they believe need protection from the corruption itself.)

Bombing Mecca would only help the extremists...and thats ignoring the whole sovereignty aspects and geopolitical fallout.
