You Can Call It 'Independence'

just how far from the "Spirit of 76" we have drifted. Only a small minority of Americans would rally to these concepts today.

Those old white men took us to war against the greatest military power of their day over nothing more than some "principles" scribbled on a big piece of parchment. And imagine the audacity of the people of Massachusetts to have started fighting before they got the document written and signed.

Conservatives, unlike the Libs, acknowledge they are not perfect, yet strive to live under a set of principles based on freedom and personal responsibility, two concepts directly at odds with Liberalism. That simple statement earned me the title of "jackbooted fascist" from a former associate. They just don't get it.

We are a bunch of Old Timers. With everyone under thirty glued to their BlueBerry or whatever the hell those things are called what chance do any kind of 'principals' have? One of my kids told me there is now a text-message Bible. I'm wearing a football helmet with a lightning rod attached so that when God finally has had enough I'll be protected.

Oh Lord I hope someone is making a difference. I just read Mike Adams and his report on what rights the liberals want and this country is in bad shape, to put it mildly.
Order me one of those helmets while you're at it. But I suspect the damage will come from below.
