THE UNDERCOVER HOLLYWOOD CONSERVATIVE

Welcome to Town Hall, Undercover!

As a veteran of the entertainment industry myself, I have watched, apalled as East Coast Lefties moved into my company, got their friends hired and promoted, and intimidated the hoy paloy.

They got control over all the stories and made sickenly PC films that made our once successful division descend like an Edsel in Lake Superior.

But the Left did not always have such all-encompassing power, and I say it happened because they banded together and intimidated the rest of us into being closet conservatives.

If we want to take Hollywood back, we need to band together too.

Glad to have you Mountain Rose

Thanks for posting Mountain Rose. My blog is brand new and we will be posting much more soon. As an active Republican involved with several major campaigns and a successful Hollywood producer, I have a unique perspective on the Hollywood liberal fascists, and I intend to relay my adventures in the land of Geffen and Streisand to the American public. I'm always looking to hear stories from Hollywood conservatives and I encourage you to email me with your experiences of liberalism in Hollywood. Through the weeks, I will be posting blogs by myself and other Hollywood Republicans as well as humorous viral video and podcasts. So please continue to visit my blog on here and my main blog at http://www.theundercoverconservative.typepad.com.

Thanks for comments on my strike piece

The conversation inspired by the Hollywood strike piece was most gratifying, and your contributions were largely responsible. Your blog reminds me of my own brief experience writing in California. I'd like to get your impressions of our Web site, and any ideas for how we at the Culture and Media Institute might improve what we're doing. Please write me via the Townhall column's email contact function.

Sincerely, Brian Fitzpatrick

I'll Be Reading!

Dear Undercover Conservative:

Glad to meet you! Unlike you, Mountain Rose and Mr. FitzPatrick, I have little connection with the film industry beyond a bit of online messaging... like now! In fact, like so many Americans, I for long just put Hollywood out of my mind in disgust. Then, when I got my computer (January 2006!) and then, in July 2006, when I discovered that feature films had crossed the line into virtual kiddie porn, I decided to take a stand.

I've learned a lot since then about Hollywood and the popular culture; how and why it works and what drives it. Of course, I'm no insider (I've never set foot in Los Angeles... and I live in Texas!) and my knowledge is miniscule compared to your's. However, it's through contacts, both direct and indirect, with those who ARE personally involved, that I've received the bulk of my needed education. What I have learned is that Hollywood and the popular culture it leads have become too dangerous to ignore. It's activities with and against children strike at the very heart of what I believe to be common decency.

BTW: I maintain a small website at "xanga.com/STEVENPILL" (which I acquired by accident!) in which I deal largely with popular culture issues. You'll note that the movie "Hounddog" was my spur into this subject and my notes and essays deal largely with the juvenile morality aspect. Just now, I am looking closely at the upcoming "The Golden Compass" movie as another grim landmark in what I consider to be the pop culture's war on children.

I hope to learn much from you, both in this vital and understated issue and in the larger picture of Hollywood and American society. God bless you for taking the time (and enduring the professional risk) of speaking out as you are.

Sincerely yours;

Steven Mark Pilling

Thanks for your activism

I'll be watching your blog carefully, UC. Thanks for taking the risk.

It says everything that needs to be said that in order to keep your job, you have to post anonymously. The Hollywood Left has been doing for 35 years exactly the thing they vilify the House Committee on Unamerican Activities for doing in the late 1940s. They're fascists of the worst sort, but think they're saviors of the nation.

At any rate, welcome, and come back often.

PS: I'll be advertising my own blog very soon, entitled Plumb Bob Blog: Squaring the Culture. It's not quite ready for prime time yet, but soon...
