Juliet Smith's Diary Part XV

Foreward

All hilarious statements made by GunnyG in the article are attributed to GunnyG, out of his own mouth on other postings. Thanks so Gunny for providing some very funny lines!

Chapter XV

I really didn't think that I could ever feel sorry for poor deluded Bradford, but after reading this chapter, I sure do. I also feel sorry for my aching stomach muscles from laughing so hard. It will take a week to dry the area from the tears of laughter and my neighbors will never speak to me again on account of the noise. (This is actually a good thing)
That was some Lord's Prayer. I think I'll make him learn it and a few others in Hebrew just for the fun of it.

Chap XV

You've gotten Bradford's character down pat.

He believes the US Constitution only applies to him when it's convenient which is the dichotomy of the socialist's ideology (all are equal, but some are more equal than others).

I wonder if, now that the shoe's on the other foot, Bradford still truly believes in the socialist propaganda he's lived with all his life?

Or has he really been rehabilitated? Maybe he's just faking it to prevent GunnyG from activating his BS detector.

Pruplegimp

Thanks for coming by. I'm glad you liked it. See, I worked those wheel chairs in the story after all.
LOL.

Your neighbors! Yeah, that can be a good thing sometimes when they don't bother you.

Oh,yeah, the Lord's Prayer in Hebrew. Make it really hard!

DavidMac

"He believes the US Constitution only applies to him when it's convenient which is the dichotomy of the socialist's ideology (all are equal, but some are more equal than others)."

You nailed it! That is exactly the problem we face.

DavidMac, Pepp

I needed a spew alert...Gunny and the "activating his bs detector!!" woo-hoo.
Thanks guys for visiting my blog...will do my best to keep interesting...

Whew....

..glad to have escaped the torments of Peppermint's imagination in the lastest saga that is "Juliet Smith's Diary."

Nee

Thanks for coming by. Yeah, the BS detector is a gem.

JimmyCarter

I decided to give you a rest Jimmy. I know how traumatized you were over the last chapter. You need to get some sleep and get over the PTSD you must have by now. Shocking, just shocking indeed to read about being in bed with Sheehag.

DavidMac

I've been thinking over your post and how much the shoe does fit for this. If the socialists could see what they do to us. What kind of position we are in, having crap rammed down our throats all the time by activist judges, making up the rules as they go along. Jjust like the Patriots are doing to Bradford. The socialists don't see it.

Peppermint

Hats off Peppermint, another good episode. I can imagine Brad demanding an up-armored hum-v and an new vest for possible transport. We could tell him there’s a shortage as funds are too tight, and “there is no controlling legal authority” for it.

xpressit

Thanks. Oh, I'm sure Brad would call for everything he wanted. Too bad things aren't the same in Juliet's world, where liberals just scream and get their way like little children. They have to be grown ups for a change. As you know that's not always possible.

xpressit

I meant in my reply to you that in Juliet's world, the socialists can't scream and get their way. Yikes, I'm having problems with typing today.

Hmmmm.....

I notice the guest of honor hasn't yet made an appearance here in the comments section.

Looks like the strain may have been too much for him.

Peppermint ...

tried blood transfusions yet?

xpressit

No I haven't but that gives me an idea. :-)

btw expressit

I like the suggestions from the readers. It gives me fodder for upcoming episodes. This chapter was written with suggestions from purlpegimp, who gave me some ideas.

BrianR

Yes, I wonder where my guest is. Especially since he is "honored" to be a main focus of this chapter, I would have thought he'd have checked in by now. But, it is TGIF and lots of people celebrate on this night.

JimmyCarter

Rest while you can, sir. It was your bedpan that was being wielded in the last line.

This was pretty dang funny. The lib would suffer all the stones, arrows & X26c's rather than 'butchering' the Lord's Prayer. And he was warned. Them Mossads tuned his twinkies up pretty good.

Another nice episode. You'll have to start writing faster =).

Regards

J-Dawg

Writing faster!! Whew, now that's one big order.LOL

Sometimes I can get them out fast, other times it takes me awhile, depends what gear my brain is in.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm already working on the next episode of course.

Thanks for coming by again.

Dem Mossad Agents

Yo Peppermint!! I tol' you dem der Mossad Agents was bad motorcycles. Are they really wheel chair bound? Another hillarious episode. If you don't get a book deal, there ain't no justice.
Willi Beaux (the Texas Ranger)
Check me out on Sandra's blog

WilliBeax

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the Mossad agents are really in wheel chairs but as you can see that has not deterred these courageous, daring, and adventure seeking ones from doing their duty. They are tough cookies not to be fooled with.

I saw your story on Sandra's column and got a good laugh. I see you all over now. You're a regular now and no longer a newbie. And, you will get attacked. I get attacked all the time. I just roll with the punches. I laugh about it now. At first it bothered me, but not anymore. If I make someone mad I know I've gotten to them. :-)

Willi Beax

Yo Willi! I'd love a book deal. But, since when is there justice in this world? LOL

Great stuff!

I'm still a little lost as to the characters. I guess I haven't been reading the right blogs! I do know Gunny G and Jimmy Carter.

SandraWise

Thanks for coming by. Most of the characters are political, but I've incorporated some of our resident bloggers on TH into the story for fun.

Pepp: What?!?

You mean some people actually have REAL LIVES?

I'd heard that rumor.

Maybe it's true.....

Hmmmm......

Pep

If they decide to escort Bradboy to trial let me know the route so that I can make sure he's.. er, covered.

Funny stuff Pep!

BrianR

Yep. Some people do outside of us here at TH.
Will wonders never cease? I miss ole Brad. I didn't get to fight with him tonight.

Goshawk

Well, you are one of the snipers on the list to help "cover" Brad if he gets escorted to trial. It's a great offer on your part, but I know as a Patriot there is nothing that you would not do for your duty to our country.
Thanks.

Bradford

I was just wondering where Brad has gone? Maybe he's gone away for the weekend looking for a little R&R to help with the trauma of being mixed up not only in his libdolt mind, but in this situation? I'm sure he'll be back by Monday convinced that can get himself out of trouble in one piece. Little does he know what's waiting for him.

Teadrinker has a plan for giving the spineless libdolt an bit more back bone that involves one of her sticks!

Purplegimp

Yes it is interesting that Brad is gone. Perhaps he is hiding out. Like you said he has a lot to recover from and he certainly is mixed up. No doubt on that. Poor thing. It would be so much easier if he would just give up the fight, but he seems to love the beating.
So Teadrinker has more plans already? That should be quite interesting. How does she plan to get that stick up his back? LOL

Hey Pep,

I'll have to come back to read...can't keep my eyes open! Be back tomorrow...looks like you have another hit!

Peppermint

Oh, I have no doubt that poor ole deluded Brad will be back for more. As our token libdolt it is a certainty that he has no doubt about being right in his left thinking. It must be a mutated genetic defect that libdolts are born with.
I'm sure you can figure out how she intends to give him a back bone as it involves the body part he uses to think with!

As a fellow writer

I feel the pain of hardship when it comes to seeking out publication - perseverence pays off, however. A professional is an amateur who didn't quit.

reid

Any chance in bringing reid back from the dead so he can be killed again? I have an iea that involves a donkey, duct tape, and an antenna from a '65 Mustang.

Savage Nailed it

Libralism is indeed a mental disease. It runs on pure feely good emotion and hasn't got a lick of sense.

You people really take the cake.

for victim-hood, perpetually whining about being picked on. Here's Peppermint, talking about the "position we are in, having crap rammed down our throats all the time by activist judges, making up the rules as they go along."

Quite *what* you're talking about, I do not know. But I've learned that feeling victimized and put upon is the essence of your brand of conservatism; you feel victimized by gays, illegal immigrants, the government, environmentalists, Hollywood, Europeans, rap music, taxes, people who don't like guns, Mexicans, science, 'socialists,' Islam, women's rights, black and brown-people in general (unless it's Alan Keyes, your token 'black conservative'), the fact that it's not 1956 anymore......in fact anything that isn't part of your white, good ole boy, Cracker Barrel culture.

Being a conservative is all about being a victim, all about "having crap rammed down our throats." It's the ideology of perpetual resentment, perpetual outrage.

DavidMac

..resident mind-reader, writes:

"He believes the US Constitution only applies to him when it's convenient which is the dichotomy of the socialist's ideology (all are equal, but some are more equal than others)."

Examples please.

Peppermint

LOL!

When are you going to describe when and how Chief Justice Ann Coulter and I got hitched by Fred Thompson?

Bradford

Your whines are as sweet to my ears as the screams of a librat caught in one of my traps.

purplegimp

Well, Brad finally showed up feisty this time as you will see when you come back. Disease, liberalism, is a mental disease for sure.

DouglasV.Gibbs

Thanks for the pep talk. Have you been published?

Dan872

Oh, I'd love to bring reid back to life so we Patriots could do him in again. That treasonous wimp!
And, you're comment has my mind just racing with the images of what could be done to him.

shades

Yes, I so agree with Savage's conclusion on liberalism. And, our resident ones give us examples of it daily.

GunnyG

Your marriage will be in an upcoming chapter of course. I almost forgot about you and Ann getting hitched. And, what a perfect couple too.

Bradford: Victimized?

Interesting take. I've never heard conservatives squawk about being "victimized", or looking for special categorization, or special treatment by the government and courts, or special accommodations, or tax breaks, or quota admissions to universities, or extraordinary job protections, or special hiring considerations, or... well, the list is getting long and boring.

Could we possibly have different definitions of "victimization"?

Bradford

Ha! Ha!
"But I've learned that feeling victimized and put upon is the essence of your brand of conservatism; you feel victimized by gays, illegal immigrants, the government, environmentalists, Hollywood, Europeans, rap music, taxes, people who don't like guns, Mexicans, science, 'socialists,' Islam, women's rights, black and brown-people in general (unless it's Alan Keyes, your token 'black conservative'), the fact that it's not 1956 anymore......in fact anything that isn't part of your white, good ole boy, Cracker Barrel culture."

That's quite a laundry list you have here. I may not be able to pick it all apart in one keyboard session.
It's interesting though the list includes so many issues that are causing problems in this country for all citizens not just conservatives. Just out of curiosity do you not see some of the problems we have in this country regarding your laundry list?

And, we don't have a problem with blacks. Liberals do. We have some of the finest conservatives, Condi Rice and Michael Steele to name just a couple. And, what did the liberals do with these two people? They exhibited some of the worst racism we've seen in this country. The leftist cartoonists lambasted Condi with horrible racist ones making her out to be Aunt Jemima. For Michael Steele they called him an oreo cookie.

Conservatives never reach down into the gutter and call blacks these kinds of things or exhibit that kind of racism. The left, the phonies, who decry racism at every opportunity are the ones who exhibit it and in terrible ways. And, who calls them on them on it? No one. They get their usual passes by the leftist media.

Bradford

Getting back to racism. Who in this country goes around huckstering and preaching victim hood of the blacks? Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Always preaching that our country is keeping them down. If that isn't racism I don't know what is and victim-hood at it's best.

These phonies are keeping blacks down with their racism bullpucky. Perpetuating the lie that blacks are incapable of bringing themselves up in this culture like anyone else does is racism at its' finest and most insidious. They talk as if blacks don't have the brains to do anything. Conservatives don't think like that. We believe all people have the ability to succeed whatever their race or color.

So, you got that one wrongo buddy.

BrianR

I see the expansion of rights. You see that expansion of federal protections to minorities as taking something away from you.

Pepp: Well, you know

that to the Left, a conservative Black is someone who's wandered off the plantation, and must be demonized.

That really IS racist.

Look at the treatment of Clarence Thomas, from his nomination right up until today. One of the finest legal minds extant, and they constantly try to portray him as intellectually lazy, a slacker, "He should die of a heart attack from the cholestorol in his eggs", and all kinds of other amazingly venal things.

The Left seems to constantly try to cover up the fact that it was the GOP that fought slavery.

It was the southern Democrats who fought integration.

It was the GOP in the 60s, voting overwhelmingly as a bloc, that made the National Voting Rights Act possible; it was strongly opposed by a large percentage of the Dems.

Yeah, we're racists, all right.

Bradford: Not even a nice try

Exapnsion of rights?

Special treatment, and abrogation of equality is more like it.

Ah,

the oreo incident. No evidence it ever happened. It was some Fox News smear, apparently to support this absurdly defensive notion that conservatives aren't and haven't been associated with racism. Who were the defenders of segregation? Conservative Dixiecrats and southern rednecks?

Brad

Activist judges: Eminent domain and abortion.

Those are two of the biggies I can give you.

Activist judges making it up as they go along. No where in the Constitution is there anything about giving women the right to abortions.

And, Eminent Domain, what an act of un-Contitutionalism that is, taking peoples' property away from them. Unbelievable!!

I would think even a liberal would be displeased about Eminent Domain.

Brad

I think BrianR answered your question about just who was for and against blacks having rights.

As far as the oreo cookie thing, I saw Steele talk about the incident himself. So, no it was not just a smear thing. You just don't want to admit it happened.

you confuse

conservatism with party affiliation. Sure the Democratic Party of the 60s South was a racist party, beacuse of historical allegiances that go back to the Civil War (as you point out, Lincoln was a Republican). But the Republicanism of Lincoln and the Republicanism of Bush are very different. Much like the southern Democrats and the McGovern Democrats.

The passage of civil rights legislation forced the rednecks out of the Democratic Party and lost the South to the Republicans. It's still your biggest voting bloc.

Steele's aprobably lying.

Imagine that. A politician lying to appeal to his base. He was interviewed several times after the debate in question and he failed to mention what would've been a key point to make in the post-debate spin. In reality, the Oreo story didn't get its first telling until five days after the event. And you can't give me a non-partisan source to corroborate it.

BrianR

Yes the Clarence Thomas incident. What a liberal smearing campaign that one was. And, yes, once the Blacks wander off the leftist dimocrap plantation all they get are smears and demonization as ugly as racism ever gets.

Brad

Oh, now Michael Steele is a liar. Ha! Not only is he a black conservative, but, of course, he is now a big liar. You've got to be kidding me.

I agree with

you about eminent domain. The law generally favors the rich and powerful (no?), so it's no surprise Joe Sixpack tends to lose out to McCorporation or McGovernment when it comes property battles.

I'm simply not going to go into an abortion argument with you. I support a woman's right to choose.

The constitution never mentioned a lot of things. Are you a constitutional literalist?

OK Pepp

show me a nonpartisan source that corroborates the Oreo incident actually happened. You can't (and no, Fox News isn't a nonpartisan source, sorry). Steele's a liar.

Pepp: Yep

It truly is amazing.

It's interesting that they portray themselves as tolerant, accepting, all-embracing, etcetera ad nauseum.

But any reasoned examination puts the lie to it all.

Tolerant: only of speech, thought, and action that falls within certain predetermined parameters. Anything else is unenlightened, racist, politically incorrect, and therefore subject to suppression by any means.

Accepting: Not of anything non-secular. For a philosophy that claims to be non-judgemental, they hysteria level flies through the roof the moment Christianity is mentioned. Islamism, Buddhism, Kawanzaa, these are all okay. Christianity is unacceptable.

All-embracing: Beyond laughable. The example of conservative blacks again puts the lie to this, as it's a party that claims to be the sole and true representative of Blacks, yet treats any dissent as apostasy, and the dissenter as a heretic.

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberalism.

Brad here's your proof

Right inside the Cardin campaign:

"Now we have this Cardin staffer who kept a blog where she wrote about her time working for his campaign. From what I read she must be some political gypsy who travels around the country working for liberal candidates. She was in Maryland from Chicago and she was having a grand old time. Here are a few of the items written by her about the Cardin campaign and about Michael Steele:

It's an unfortunate situation when you're running an established, older, white candidate against a dynamic, younger African American. It's unfortunate, because the racism card hovers constantly, just waiting to be dealt.

It's unfortunate, because no matter how completely and utterly incompetant[sic] a person is, if he fits in the wrong demographic, you're stuck with him. It doesn't matter what his job history is, or that he may have been fired by every other campaign in the
county's history, you can't let him go.

And when his supervisor, after explaining the same detail seventeen different times, becomes frustrated and less then pleasant, he has one recourse that is only available to him because of the color of his skin.

He plays the racism card, the magic passport to a different chain of command.

His supervisor has no such weapon in her arsenal, she has only the documentation of their interactions, and her own good standing within the organization. She has the respect of her supervisors, and their backing, but still nothing can be done.

[...]

Looming in the back of one of the campaign pantries is a large stack of Oreos. A much smaller stack of generic chocolate pastries sits forlornly beside it.

Periodically staffers will sureptitiously[sic] glance around and then sneak in for a treat. One or two certainly has a stash hidden in a desk drawer.

The subterfuge would be unnecessary, and snack time would be far less amusing, had an angry citizen not thrown the aforementioned delicious snack food at one of our opponents to comment on his lack of racial loyalty. He's not our opponent yet, not unless we win next Tuesday, but it would be bad to have the cookies lying around where anyone can seen[sic] them.

Before I leave, however, I need a picture of all of us holding the forbidden cookies with the caption: "Devouring the Competition."

The blogger, who goes by the name of Persuasionatrix, is actually telling us the feeling of staffers within the Cardin campaign. It is true that she was fired, but she was the one caught printing the feelings that abound in the Cardin camp. The mainstream media will undoubtedly quash this because it does not bode well for a Democratic ticket in Maryland that lacks diversity. The people in Maryland running for statewide office on the Democratic ticket are all white males. The Republicans feature a black man, two women, and folks from around the state, as opposed to the liberal enclaves of Baltimore City and Montgomery County."

BrianR

Good post about the hypocrisy of liberalism.

Bradford

I see that you are not trying to deny the racism thrown at Condi Rice.

Bradford

Take note of this particular paragraph I posted above:

"The mainstream media will undoubtedly quash this because it does not bode well for a Democratic ticket in Maryland that lacks diversity. The people in Maryland running for statewide office on the Democratic ticket are all white males. The Republicans feature a black man, two women, and folks from around the state, as opposed to the liberal enclaves of Baltimore City and Montgomery County."

Don't you find it curious that no blacks were on the so called "diversity loving" party of the dims?

Brad

Oh, you won't go into the abortion issue with me.
Too scary to go there? Why?

The staffer

was fired. What's your point?

Pepp

I've learned that arguments about abortion are pointless. It's a matter of faith. So there's no point arguing about it.

And the racism towards Cond Rice? From a few isolated people perhaps yes. Every group has it's fringe loonies who take arguments into dark, ad hominem places. But your liberal racist argument is a canard and you know it.

I'm no Democrat

Pepp. But the Repubs are worse.

It's hard

to judge the nonpartisan nature of your Cardin source without a link? Where was this from? Fox News?

Bradford

The staffer was fired but that was the fall guy. The whole campaign inside felt the way she wrote. That is the point and that is where the oreo cookie came from.

Brad

http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/09/17/193818.php

Here's the link and it has the cached writings of the person who was blogging this racist stuff. So you can go there and look for yourself. And, no it was not Fox news.

Brad

The abortion argument is not about faith, not anymore. Have you seen all the new technology on this issue? The left's own god, science, is dismantling every liberal argument about abortion.

The TH resident leftists who come here barely ever post now under the columns on abortion because they can no longer make a case for themselves in calling that "thing" in the uterus a piece of dog meat or whatever word they like to diminish the issue with, zygot, protoplasm, whatever.

Brad

You sound like a leftist liberal to me.

One other thought

Brad, these issues are not about party affiliation. They are about leftist dogma versus conservatism.

Pepp: I'm glad you

made that distinction, because I was about to.

GOP does not necessarily = conservative.

Democrat does not necessarily = liberal. Zell Miller's a great example.

If Zell Miller

ran for Pres I'd vote for him.

btw, Brad

How did you like this episode? You have a starring role in it. I thought you would be pleased.

Pepp

The Oreo story arose FIVE days after the debate. It's a lie, pure and simple. OK, so one person in Cardin's organization said something racist. Big deal. That racist was fired. Good.

"The whole campaign inside felt the way she wrote."

Um, OK. I guess that settles it.

You'd vote for "Zigzag Zellout"?

When he ran for governor in the 90s, he was against the lottery before he was for it.

This Zell Miller? On Kerry, in 2001: "One of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders – and a good friend," who had "worked to strengthen our military"

Or is it the fact that he hates rap music, gay marriage, and non-Christian government?

Brad

The writings of that blogger exposes the racism within the Cardin campaign. That's the point. It was out there, you cannot keep denying it and why you do is beyond me. I thought you said you are no democrat. Why keep trying to defend their racism?

BrianR

you just can't help it can you? That feeling of victimization just won't go away. Typical conservative.

"Tolerant: only of speech, thought, and action that falls within certain predetermined parameters. Anything else is unenlightened, racist, politically incorrect, and therefore subject to suppression by any means."

Sheesh Pepp

I'll try again.

One. Person. In. Cardin's. Organization. Said. Something. Racist. That. Racist. Was. Fired. Good.

Pepp

I'd vote for him, too.

Living proof, Brad, that a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged!

LOL

Brad

"Tolerant: only of speech, thought, and action that falls within certain predetermined parameters. Anything else is unenlightened, racist, politically incorrect, and therefore subject to suppression by any means."

So what about this paragraph is victimization?

Facts are facts. The left is doing everything it can to shut down free speech. We either abide by their made up rules (changed daily I might add) or you get fired, run out of town, labeled some phobia.

What do you call this Brad? A free society upholding the Constitution? Or a dogmatic leftist/socialist agenda to shut down all who disagree with them or those who wish to expose their true motives?

Hey, Bradford

Facts are facts, not perceived "victimization".

If a car runs me down, I haven't been "victimized", I've been hit by a car. That's the fact, not the interpretation.

BTW, Brad

Topping your list of supposed Right cries of "victimization" is the liberal MSM.

Well, we do claim the MSM is leftist. We also cheerfully acknowledge that talk radio and the internet are rightist.

Who's calling for the Fairness Doctrine? Not us. YOU guys are. And interestingly enough, only to apply to....

talk radio and the internet!

What a coinkydink!

So.............. exactly *who* is playing the "vicitimization" card?

Hmmmm.............?

BrianR

And, the right is honest enough to admit that talk radio and the Internet have right wing influences.

The left will never admit to their bias.

Bradford

"Or is it the fact that he hates rap music, gay marriage, and non-Christian government?"

Geesh, Brad. Yeah, rap music is a real biggie for me. NOT.

I would say however that rap music and the messages it sends to young blacks in this country is a BIG problem. Ho's and bit*ches and the like? You don't have a problem with that? It's disgusting what is said about blacks and women in their lyrics.

And, thankfully black women are starting to come out against this kind of shameless racism. It's about time they stood up and hollered "WRONG" and try to clean it up.

For me personally I don't have a dog in that race.

Brad

I would really like you to stick to facts when you address me with your comments. If you noticed I never have written one thing against gays, not in my articles or in my fiction series. You are way off and out of line with that accusation, ole buddy.

Yeah, Pepp

You know what REALLY cracks me up?

The Left running around and accusing the MSM of being "right wing"!

I mean, how out of contact with reality can you possibly be?

Just when you think you've seen the height of lunacy, you're again proven wrong.

Bravo, Pep!

Awesome writing...I guess I had missed some of the info about Purplegimp and Teadrinker...that's something...

You crack me up. This is great ficton. It's funny that the Left does things like make movies about the assassination of the sitting president, but a fiction story about the future is taken so seriously, and condemned...

this is funny stuff, and hits right at the dems weakness, or absurdity, or even character flaw, such as Ted Kennedy...this is hillarious, and well written. Bradford actually comes off very believable and in character.

BrianR, you and Pep have nuked every argument...as to the racist mantra, and it had to be a Fox hoax...gosh...

the racism is definitely on the Left...all they do is look at color of skin, against the hopes of Martin Luther King in his speech looking to the day when people would be judged by their charcter not the color of their skin...

I still think ol' Brad will see th light...:)

BrianR

Yes, you are right on that one. A couple of nights when TH was down, I went surfing around in those slimy, dirty places like DU and DailyKos, HuffPo.

I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw them writing about the right wing media bias and how they are constantly giving Bush a pass. I was about knocked off my chair at the lunacy I was reading.

Of course, later, I had to disinfect myself from being at those sites. Unbelievable the kind of stuff that comes our of their mouths and these sited permit all the foul language and horrendous attacks on Tony Snow with cancer. It was an eye opener. I had a hard time sleeping that night with those monstrous comments rolling around in my head.

Sheila

Thanks for your compliments.

I don't know about ole Brad. I think he's too entrenched in his socialism to ever be able to eradicate his brain. The things he spouts off without having any facts or basis are too over the top.

And, yes it is the left who plays the race card every chance it gets. I would think by now it would start to run out of steam it's been played so long.
Blacks slowly but surely are finding out just what the left really is. What is really frustrating is how insidious the left is about it and how underhanded they play the card.

Sheila

I forgot to add, that yes it is funny and another example of the left hypocrisy that someone would take my little fiction series up here as if I were writing the Conservative Manifesto of all time, when the left has all of their scary movies from AlBore and M. Moreazz. All lies but,hey that came from the left so nothing wrong with those stories of fiction.

I find it fun that a lefty is so upset with my fiction.

Pepp, BrianR

I think ol Bradical is gettng his "facts" from Wikiwackypedia. I noticed that you, Pepp and Brian gave him facts and he made an excuse as to why it cannot possibly be valid. (the Cardin thing and of course, FOx news is biased!!) He conveniently leaves out "the others". Don't forget the Rose-colored glasses and The Triple L Syndrome. Kimberly has been gone so long, I haven't been able to remind you it still exists! :P
New post on my blog...

Carville out of touch leftist

"Former Clinton administration adviser James Carville said the 2008 election will be "the most fascinating, interesting, different, challenging presidential election, maybe ever" – and went on to make several surprising predictions about the race.

Speaking to an audience at Tulane University in New Orleans, the Louisiana native observed:

# Al Gore will run again. Quoting George Will, Carville said running for the White House is like sex: "You don’t do it once and forget about it.”

# John McCain will not be on the ballot in Iowa. Citing McCain’s support for the war, Carville said: "He’s a tired old man playing out of character.

The Republican field is so "lackluster” that the party will turn to someone not even in the race yet. "The only person I can figure is Jeb Bush,” Carville said in remarks reported by the New Orleans Times-Picayune."

Yeah, right, we conservatives are oh so interested in Jeb Bush running. Duh! NOT!

Carville better crawl back to the BO carnival and back under his cloth for the freak show.

"The left...

is doing everything it can to shut down free speech. We either abide by their made up rules (changed daily I might add) or you get fired, run out of town, labeled some phobia."

You certainly sound like you are whining about being victimized....

Give me an example. And please, no Don Imus.

Brad

Brad reminds me of the best definition of a liberal I've ever read. It was in an old gun magazine my late partner left lying around our motorcycle garage and said that a liberal is someone who believes that everyone should think and be LIKE THEY LIKE TO THINK THEY ARE THEMSELVES. Sound like anyone here?

Brad

The Fairness Doctrine already posted by BrianR.

The only purpose of this so called "Fairness" doc is to shut down conservatives. The doctrine only applies to radio talk shows, not the left leaning MSM, who display continual liberal bias in their reporting.

Pep

Meanwhile, on CSPAN, "Tawana Brawley Sharpton" hosts a media event, as though he were a legit civil rights spokesperson...nothing but a liar and a racist...why they put his face on TV is beyond me.

Nee

Yes, Bradical is out there. He thinks because he thinks in terms of racism, that the rest of us do and from where he gets his facts is unclear to me.
Wackypedia is the most likely source.

purplegimp

Good definition. And, I believe "projection" is the disease of the left which goes right along with their mental disease. Always projecting their own thoughts outward onto others who don't think like they do. It never occurs to them that other people have different thoughts than they do. Get some help is what I call on all leftys to do before it's too late to redeem yourselves.

Purplegimp

Great job taking care of Brad in Juliet's diary...:)You and Teadrinker are a tough duo!

Sheila

OMG. Groan! When will the media stop aiding and abetting these hucksters? Giving them cred?

They have NO credibility. Sharpton was torn to shreds last week by Chris Wallace, mind you, a card carrying democrat, on Fox News Sunday.

Wallace left Sharpton in the pile of his own rubble as he tried and tried to climb his way out of his own past road of destructive agendas. At the end of the interview, Sharpton was literally babbling. He had nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. It was one of the most successful undoing of a phony I have ever witnessed on TV. Wallace was brilliant and stood firm presenting Sharpton with his own hypocrisy.

Bradical

And there you have it in a *nut*shell(pun intended) That is exactly what is wrong with leftist thinking. You always hear them saying that people everywhere are basically alike and want the same things. That's the trouble. And why they will never get it.
Poor poor misguided Bradical.
Now, where did I leave my stick (crutch?)

purplegimp

You're going to have to use that stick a lot harder to beat some sense into Bradical-all-people-are-alike-want-think-the same things. He's a hard nut to crack.

Brad...

We are not whining...let me give you a great example of the "Fairness" I was a witness to. And it ain't Don Imus. The left paid for Cindy Sheehag to have a rally near me. I was there to counter-Rally...Guess what...I had my great big ProtestWarrior sign and a Club Gitmo shirt on. I was on the sidewalk right in front of the shehag hideaway. It was obvious I was pro war. The police told me to vacate the area that I did not have a permit to be there. Why? Because my free speech didn't equal the Sheehag's. Am I whining? or was my ability to utilize free speech squelched?

Pepp

Time for Bradical to be sent to Club Gitmo...where the littlest tough as nails patriot will enlist said leftist to unending broadcasts of Megadittos, Rush! Educating the left with half my brain just to make it "fair!"
Rush needs to stop being fair,he forgets they shat their brains out of their donkey asssed selves long ago! We just wnat to feeeel good!

Nee

Bradical has his definition of victim a little skewed.

A victim is one who whines that the government won't fix their problems because they won't fix them for themselves.

A conservative is protesting against unfair tactics and or rules/laws put in place by the government from the left to step on the Constitution.

I hardly call the latter a victim.

Nee

It is clear that Bradical is not learning in the SBEC. Further drastic measures will be ensuing.

Nee

Great example of how different one side gets treated over the other.

The left has the ACLU who will sue at the drop of a hat.If you had the ACLU on your side you could then sue for your free speech being stepped on.

We need to get our own org. together of lawyers to fight for us.

Peppermint

We have our own legal group. It's the American Center for Law and Justice ACLJ. They led the fight before SCOTUS in the fight to uphold the ban on partial birth abortion. Check 'em out at http://www.aclj.org

Peppermint

Its funny, outside liberal ideology & government-solutions rhetoric you find out how non-conforming they can be.

This is laughable

""The left...
is doing everything it can to shut down free speech. We either abide by their made up rules (changed daily I might add) or you get fired, run out of town, labeled some phobia."

You certainly sound like you are whining about being victimized....

Give me an example. And please, no Don Imus."

That's like saying "Give me an example of 'American cars', and no Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Crystler, Buick, Caddilac, ..." I LOL'd.

This one is a gem, as well...
"I've learned that arguments about abortion are pointless. It's a matter of faith. So there's no point arguing about it."

ROFL. So is this statement a recognition of the Christian principles behind the crafting of the Constitution? Imagine that, the right, not to be killed is a matter of faith.

I guess same goes for the CCW argument, then. Arguments are pointless, since CCW deterring criminals & saving innocents in a matter of fact.
No point in arguing, there; though I was somewhat disappointed.

Regards

Yo Willi

Thanks for that link. Thank God there's somebody on our side.

J-Dawg

LOL. Don't you love it. When the left "deems" you can argue a point, then there have to be "restrictions" on the argument.

J-Dawg, on the abortion, I didn't even get it what he's saying, "it's a matter of faith", like only if you have a religion would you consider abortion, is wrong? Killing babies has to be a "matter of faith", so killing other humans, not babies, on what rule does that reside? Is that one a matter of faith too?
You can kill someone if you have no faith, but it's different if you do.

But, never mind, the left according to Brad will hold no argument.

Pep, couple of minor things....

a) The Patriots in the story are wasting too much ammo when removing captive and/or unarmed libdolts from the gene pool. Much more cost effective to use a blade.
b) What have Crawfish and our Naval Air Forces been doing all this time? Especially since there were a group of Patriots from Pennsylvania mentioned (that's where I'm stationed these days).

the ACLJ?

You mean Pat Robertson's ACLJ?

Nee

You sound like a delightful lady. I guess my different opinions qualify me for incarceration as a terrorist? If this is your idea of what being a 'patriot' involves, God help us all.

Pepp

You write; "A conservative is protesting against unfair tactics and or rules/laws put in place by the government from the left to step on the Constitution."

What are you talking about? What 'unfair' tactics? What laws or rules have been put in place by "the left" to punish conservatives? That's what I mean when I talk about the right's persecution complex. You have this conspiratorial belief that you're being dumped on. If you could talk specifics here you might convince me that you're not just paranoid.

Pepp

"...like only if you have a religion would you consider abortion, is wrong? Killing babies has to be a "matter of faith", so killing other humans, not babies, on what rule does that reside? Is that one a matter of faith too? You can kill someone if you have no faith, but it's different if you do."

Huh?

I guess this

...is another of those facts you accuse me of being ignorant of...

" Washington Post/ABC News poll, April 16:

Will U.S. win or lose the war?

Lose: 51%
Win: 35%

Rasmussen poll, April 16:

Thirty-three percent (33%) of American voters believe that history will ultimately judge the U.S. mission in Iraq a success. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 50% of Likely Voters believe the mission will be deemed a failure."

More evidence we're winning in Iraq

“Two suicide car bombers attacked a police station Sunday in western Baghdad, killing at least 13 people and wounding 82, police said. … The blasts collapsed nearby buildings, smashing windows and burying at least four cars under piles of concrete. Metal roofs were peeled back by the force of the explosions. Pools of blood made red mud of a dusty driveway.”

War

"President Bush said Friday that sectarian murders have dropped by half in Baghdad since the U.S.-Iraqi military buildup began in February, rejecting a Democratic leader's claim that the war is lost. The president said early signs show the operation to quell violence is meeting expectations.

"There are still horrific attacks in Iraq, such as the bombings in Baghdad on Wednesday, but the direction of the fight is beginning to shift," Bush said in his second speech on terrorism in two days...

...Bush urged Americans not to be swayed by the violence inflicted by suicide bombers and focus, instead, on incremental gains Iraqi and U.S. forces are making day by day, block by block in Baghdad. Weapons stockpiles are being seized, extremists are being captured and displaced families are returning home, he said.

"When a family decides to stop depending on militias to protect them or a young man rejects insurgency and joins the Iraqi army, it doesn't usually make the evening news," Bush said...

...pushing back against Democrats, Bush said that not all the troops that he ordered in January in a military buildup have arrived. It's too early to assume defeat, he said.

"Ultimately, withdrawal would increase the probability that American troops would have to return to Iraq _ and confront an enemy that is even more dangerous," Bush said."

From Iraq:

"It's frustrating to see the media turn a blind eye to the nature of the crimes and open fire on an honest endeavor to restore peace to a bleeding nation. I'm sure the terrorists are pleased by the coverage. Why not, when their crimes are being portrayed as successful breakthroughs against the efforts of Iraq and America it's likely motivating them to keep up the killing.

Would it be "hate speech" to expose the terrorists for what they are?

I think our hate for their crimes must not be hidden; there is no shame in hating those blood-thirsty monsters.

Even more appalling I see and hear some people who think the solution is to end the war from our end and I can't find an argument more naïve than this—I've seen enough wars in my life that I can't remember a day when there was peace and I hate wars more than they can imagine. But we didn't start his war; it's the terrorists who started this war against life.

Instead of telling us to stop fighting back, I'd like to see some people stand up and protest the crimes of the terrorists and tell them to stop the killing and destruction…turn the stop-the-war campaign against the terrorists, is that too much to ask for?

Tell the criminals to stop killing us and stop attacking the people who are risking their lives fighting for liberty and equality.

We're not asking the media and the stop-the-war crowd to carry arms and shoot the terrorists; we just want them to stop shooting at us."

Polls

"It seems that if we are going to use these polls to demonstrate the general opinion of the American people at a point in time, the people who are polled should be a fair, representative sample of the American people. If the sample is not representative, it serves only one purpose, and that is to present a biased view intended to sway opinion with the use of faulty data."

Peppermint

Your Sunday post is right on the money. You really got some talent for presenting facts. When will the next chapter be posted. I'm lookin' forward to seeing what dem 2 bad motorcyles (the Mossad) are up to. No good I hope.
Did you like the Aggie joke that I sent to Sandra?
The Texas Ranger (wannabee)

PC and the erosion of free speech

Perhaps the greatest guarantor of truth that we have had in this country has been our First Amendment right - that of Freedom of Speech. I say "have had" because we have already lost much of it - and we have given it up voluntarily in order to be politically correct.

"Political Correctness" is a manipulation so powerful it overpowers rational thought, ethics, morality, common sense; it's seen as more valuable than truth or freedom. And those who follow it rely on every other fallacious argument to convert and/or silence its critics making it a self-perpetuating manipulation. It has become an ideology so powerful it pressures all of society to conform, so pervasive even the law subscribes to it. "Political Correctness" looks like, sounds like, acts like brain washing!

"Political Correctness" is a manipulation that not only uses fear but every other fallacy as well. One particularly insidious application extends the Ad Misericordiam argument to the extreme. The claim is that "feelings," a purely personal, affective state of one's own consciousness, must prescribe the course of group action, must be elevated to the level of national goals. NOTHING must be done or said that could, in any way, hurt somebody's feelings. Just recently, schools in a fair sized city in this state outlawed Halloween celebrations on the grounds that local witches were protesting. How absurd can you get!

Any reference to anyone's ethnicity or race is out! Not only are jokes taboo, but so is mentioning ethnicity or race when referring to statistical data. No matter how accurate and true the data, anyone putting it into words is seen to be racially and/or ethnically biased! And anyone thus perceived is subject to punishment by one's fellow citizens! And, because the government isn't doing it, it's not illegal.

Willi Beax

Yes I did like you Aggie joke.
I'm still working on Chapter XVI.
Which post are you referring to Willi? One here or elsewhere?

Sunday 4/22/07

Yo Peppermint!! Your Sunday 4-22-07 (4:00 PM) post.

Yo Will

I tried to post back to you and got bumped off.

PC is one of the biggest problems we are facing today with free speech. The rules seem to be made up on a daily basis, subject to change at any moment, or as to who is speaking.

Some are allowed to say certain things and others are not.

It is ludicrous and has a crazy making quality about it. One can never know from day to day if one is going to cross the PC lines and be fired, harassed, or shunned.

I forgot to add

that PC is a left wing creation. A socialist creation to shut down free speech by making it difficult to speak about certain topics. One cannot discuss or debated certain topics because PC words may be involved, thus they cannot be discussed w/o
crossing these imaginary lines. Hence discussions that should take place cannot even commence.

Example:

The democrats have proclaimed the War on Terror is not allowed to be used any more. How do we then discuss the WOT if we are not allowed to refer to it?

What do we call it? Or does it not exist now because they have proclaimed the words off limits?

Dem Dumb Dems

Yo Peppermint!! Maybe you can sic dem 2 bad motorcycles (your Mossad)on dem dumb dems. I'm getting a little flaky now. No I'm not imbibing in the schnapps. Do you like schnapps?

Yo Willi

No I don't care for schnapps. I like wine and occasionally a really cold beer in a frosted mug.
Yum, that sounds good right about now.

Bradical..

You know, I have seen Pepp and others try to be nice...but here's the thing. You wanna spew or call something valid according to your values, fine. But I believe terror is a threat and I beleive the left is threatening many of the things this Country was founded on. You don't seem to think it's a problem becuase you use you rown set of values. Well, sorry, my friend...There is a war on terror and it should be allowed to be said. I was pro-war but I was not allowed to say it...
And for crying out loud....Peppermint is writing fiction, assshole. (Sorry,Pepp, he got me riled)If you don't like the portrayal, it is because the ideas she gets are from what we all know, see, and hear and you cannot take the reality that dems are shown for who they are...

Here's an idea. Why don't you try and ask yourself what ticks you off about Pepp's musings. Because to be frank, the leftist websites are always saying hateful things about the right, daily! I don't see you posting there that they shouldn't be saying such things. Do they call that a Double standard? Just wondering.

You claim

that "the democrats have proclaimed the War on Terror is not allowed to be used any more." When did this happen? Did I miss the memo?

GWOT

April 5, 2007 9:42 a.m. EDT

"Democrats Want to Ban 'Global War on Terror'

There is no longer a "global war on terror” as far as the House Armed Services Committee is concerned.

It’s not that the campaign against worldwide terrorism has ended – the committee has banned the use of the phrase from the 2008 defense budget.

A memo for the committee staff states that the 2008 bill and its accompanying report should be specific about military operations and "avoid using colloquialisms.”

The "global war on terror,” a phrase first used by President Bush shortly after the 9/11 attacks, should not be used, according to the memo.

Committee staff members are instructed to instead use specific references to specific operations, the Military Times reports. The memo provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as "the war in Iraq,” the "war in Afghanistan,” or "operations in the Horn of Africa.”

Committee aides, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said avoiding references to the "global war on terror” reflects a disagreement over whether the war in Iraq is part of the effort to combat terrorism – as Republicans maintain – or is a distraction from fighting terrorists, as many Democrats assert.

Josh Holly, a spokesman for Rep. Duncan Hunter of California – the committee’s senior Republican – told the Times that Republicans "were not consulted” about the change."

Nee

"I was pro-war but I was not allowed to say it." Who stopped you? More victim-talk from the right. Last time I checked, no one is 'stopping' you from writing whatever it is you want to write.

I agree that "terror is a threat" but I think we disagree on the best way to combat that terror. I happen to think there's a lot of evidence to indicate your boy Bush is making the problem a whole lot worse with his incompetence, cronyism, and ill-advised foreign policy. But I know you're a 'true believer' and that anyone who disagrees is, in your eyes, treasonous or aiding and abetting terrorism. I think your belief that "the left is threatening many of the things this Country was founded on" is simply absurd--paranoid, unsubstantiated, and unsupportable. "The left" is a pretty broad, pretty ill-defined enemy. Do you mean anyone who's not a rabid righty?

Sure Pepp's writing fiction. But it's interesting, isn't it, that her 'fun' way of blowing off steam at the perpetual victimhood she feels is to write fantasy stories about killing her enemies. I don't see ANY lefty sites advocating that.

And Nee? You can stick your name-calling where the sun don't shine.

GWOT = NOT according to dims

* "Committee Staff Members Are Told In The Memo To Use Specific References To Specific Operations Instead Of The Bush Administration's Catch Phrases." (Rick Maze, "No More GWOT, House Committee Decrees," Military Times, 4/3/07)

* "The Memo, Written By Staff Director Erin Conaton, Provides Examples Of Acceptable Phrases, Such As 'The War In Iraq,' The 'War In Afghanistan,' 'Operations In The Horn Of Africa' Or 'Ongoing Military Operations Throughout The World.'" (Rick Maze, "No More GWOT, House Committee Decrees," Military Times, 4/3/07)

Nee

You wrote "It was obvious I was pro war. The police told me to vacate the area that I did not have a permit to be there. Why? Because my free speech didn't equal the Sheehag's. Am I whining? or was my ability to utilize free speech squelched?"

Is this what you referring to earlier? It's a bit of a stretch to say the police were targeting you because you were pro-war. Don't they do exactly the same to lefty protestors at right-wing events? Sounds to me like you're playing the victim card again.

Pepp

"The memo, written by Staff Director Erin Conaton, provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as “the war in Iraq,” the “war in Afghanistan, “operations in the Horn of Africa” or “ongoing military operations throughout the world.”

“There was no political intent in doing this,” said a Democratic aide who asked not to be identified. “We were just trying to avoid catch phrases.”"

Perhaps they were? Perhaps they are just playing politics, like all politicians do. I don't see how this prevents the President or Republicans from using the term if they want to.

Victimhood?

"Sure Pepp's writing fiction. But it's interesting, isn't it, that her 'fun' way of blowing off steam at the perpetual victimhood she feels is to write fantasy stories about killing her enemies. I don't see ANY lefty sites advocating that."

Aw, da wittle wiberals don't say anything mean. They are all so nice and sweet......awwww......

Oh and Nee?

Did you have a permit to be there?

Pepp

great "fact-based" comeback there. I'm impressed.

Brad all fogged up

I don't see ANY lefty sites **advocating** that."

Confused? Fiction and advocation? Not the same. You must be confused. Very confused.

Pepp

the word you're looking for is 'advocacy,' but I get your drift. So I take it, that when Nee writes, about your fiction, that "the ideas she gets are from what we all know, see, and hear and you cannot take the reality that dems are shown for who they are..." you disagree with her? Or is all this just made up fantasy?

Facts:

great "fact-based" comeback there. I'm impressed.

Pot calls kettle black. Oops that is probably unPC.

Where are your facts, Bradford, for all the accusations you throw around here? I've never seen you back up one fact, much less all the accusations and innuendos you have made. Never. I see no links to back up any statements you have made here ever.

You don't have a leg to stand on

any of you. You just feel this vague, pissed off resentment at all these things you don't like about the modern world so you scapegoat all of these bogeymen who make you feel better.....

Pepp

What is a 'fact'? You tell me. You post links from right wing opinion sites that parrot the latest Rush talking points and turn round and call them "facts."
Over 3,000 US soldiers have died in Iraq. That's a fact. Right? But what you do with that fact and what I do with it are two very different things.

Socialists

are shown for who they are in a satirical manner.

Btw, advocation is in the Webster's dictionary.

FACT

'Peppermint enjoys writing stories about shooting liberals.'

Right? Or is that 'opinion'?

Advocation

So it is Pepp. I believe the term is 'pwned'!

Your Opinion, no facts:

The above sounds like a rant by an opinionated individual with no facts to back this up.

Another Bradford revelation

You mean Pat Robertson's ACLJ?

Oh, right; you must mean as compared to Roger Baldwin’s ACLU. But there is the Alliance defense Fund among others.

Okay,Bradical

Why don't you go ahead and tell me what the word victim means to you,SFB. I was going to be arrested for standing on a sidewalk which was public domain. The Permit was needed to be in The Square. There were Sheehags ilk standing near me, heckling of course. So, Victim for standing against her, absolutely not. Victim for not being allowed to stand on a public sidewalk?
A bit of a stretch, hey? WTF,over? Were you there? There were a total of 15 anti-war to all the birkenstock wearing,kid-toting dope smoking hipsters. So, no bradical, no streching here, only the truth...
As for disagreeing, awww. C'mon you little mama's boy cryiing about victim hood. The troops and their morale are paramount to me. Harry, Nanny and johnny breck boy, are aiding and abetting the enemy to say or do the things they did. You don' have to agree with the war, but nobody should be shitting on the troops, and least of all disrespecting the CIC as if it means nothing. That is treason,as he is being insubordinate to his boss. WHat is so hard to get about that. And like I told you earlier,if you dared to defend Harry while the troops are defending your right to, I will tell you to STFU because I can for them. ANd if that makes a pissant like you tell me to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine...boo-fukking hoo. You disgrace those who defend your right to say so whether you want them to or not.

In Bradfordonia

“so you scapegoat all of these bogeymen who make you feel better.....”

Poor Brad seems awfully worried about boogeymen here.
No, "Obsessed"; the evidence speaks for itself.

Potty mouth Nee

Relax. Drink a Red Bull. Go shoot some cans or something.

Bush is CIC of the Armed Forces. Not the civilian branch of government. And airing a divergent opinion isn't treason. It's called democracy.

You can tell me to STFU until you go blue in the face. This is a democracy, and until you and your paramilitary goon squad make it a shooting offence to express a different opinion, I'll go on expressing mine. I think Reid is right. The war is lost. And BUSH LOST IT. His incompetence, his cronyism, his ranbk stupidity has set this country back twenty years.

"You disgrace those who defend your right to say so whether you want them to or not."

I guess the troops I talk to disagree.

Bradford-mania

Hey Pep, here is a good example of free speech in action, by those who act like they own the bill of rights issues.

NYT: May 24, 2006
A.C.L.U. May Block Criticism by Its Board
By STEPHANIE STROM

The American Civil Liberties Union is weighing new standards that would discourage its board members from publicly criticizing the organization's policies and internal administration.

"Where an individual director disagrees with a board position on matters of civil liberties policy, the director should refrain from publicly highlighting the fact of such disagreement," the committee that compiled the standards wrote in its proposals.

"Directors should remember that there is always a material prospect that public airing of the disagreement will affect the A.C.L.U. adversely in terms of public support and fund-raising," the proposals state.

In a background report, the committee wrote that "its proposed guidelines are more in the nature of a statement of best practices" that could be used to help new board members "understand and conform to the board's shared understanding of the responsibilities of its members."

Structure: “The American Civil Liberties Union is composed of two separate corporate entitites: the ACLU Foundation and the ACLU. The ACLU engages primarily in legislative lobbying while the ACLU Foundation carries out most of the litigation and communication efforts.”

Pep, among other misconceptions, Brad does not comprehend that the ACLU and other socialistic-agenda pushing leftists declared the war on us decades ago. Then, to act as if this fictional plot of your narrative offends him, I think, sounds a bit disjointed.

Brad: “You [Nee] can stick your name-calling where the sun don't shine.”

When Brad tells Nee to stick the name-calling, I laughed so hard I nearly fell, while Brad selectively ignores ‘no reference to GWOT (global war on terror) policy’ of Democrats. It’s really amusing.

Yea, this is funny:
Brad - “There was no political intent in doing this,” said a Democratic aide…”

And they said so! You’re kidding right? No wonder you are worried about Peps fictional play. Amazing how you can see selective intent other places.

Brad: “Sure Pepp's writing fiction. But it's interesting, isn't it, that her 'fun' way of blowing off steam at the perpetual victimhood she feels is to write fantasy stories about killing her enemies. I don't see ANY lefty sites advocating that."

No lefties don’t need to kill their enemies, just yet, if they can just silence them first. See above example if in doubt how they treat dissent, even within. If still in doubt, speak to Joe Lieberman.

xpressit

Very good points you make and the section about the ACLU makes me LOL. Here's a an org. who goes around "protecting" the free speech of "downtrodden" socialists and it's trying to shut its' own people up. OMG It's too funny. A person could not even make this stuff up!

Yeah, poor Joe Lieberman found out what it was like to disagree with the party/socialist line didn't he? I didn't think of that example. Such a good one too.

Yeah, Brad believes the socialist talking points. NO political intent. Ha! But, of course when Bush fires a measly 7 US attorneys, OMG, such political intrigue? The socialists must look through every email to find the "truth" of evil doing!

xpressit

I think the person who feels victimized here is Bradford. He has a lot of trouble sorting out fact from fiction. It seems difficult for him to read a work of fiction and understand that the situations are not real and no one really gets hurt or killed in fiction. It's troublesome really. I hate to think of how he reacts when he's watching TV. Think of all the fictional programs that he must watch. Afterwards he must be quite upset with all those things he saw that must be real. In his mind.

Reading Comprehension 101

Pepp says "Yeah, Brad believes the socialist talking points. NO political intent."

I said "Perhaps they are just playing politics, like all politicians do. I don't see how this prevents the President or Republicans from using the term if they want to."

That old right wing selective perception at work.

OK

Nee wrote: ""the ideas she gets are from what we all know, see, and hear and you cannot take the reality that dems are shown for who they are..."

I'm confused. Pepp says this isn't real, but Nee says it kinda sorta is......

This comment:

"His incompetence, his cronyism, his ranbk stupidity has set this country back twenty years."

One wonders "set us back twenty years" from what?
Socialism? I know that we've been heading for socialism for over 20 years now. So perhaps that is what is referred to here.

So, perhaps the left is putting us back much longer than 20 years, but perhaps, back to the time we were under the rule of England. The right to free speech, the First Amendment, which most of us hold dear, has been slashed by the left with their PC control, disallowing arguments to be made unless they are framed within the socialist context.

Brad

"I'm confused. Pepp says this isn't real, but Nee says it kinda sorta is......"

All fiction is based on something. Fiction just tells a story about life around oneself.

Pepp

I know this doesn't make it to FOX or get covered by Malkin or Savage, but the ACLU defends ALL unpopular opinions, not just "socialist" ones. You should get your facts straight. I know how important they are to you.

Bradford

I'm curious. Why are you having such a difficult time being able to tell fiction from fact?

The ACLU

is a commie organization funded by commies and run by them. Check out who finances their organization.

Peppermint

When Bush fires a measly 7 attorneys… well, then its time to fire the AG, ha ha. But we have to wonder who is next on the Dang Dems hitlist. And don’t even think it could be “politically motivated. (No political intent there – LOL) Why would Bush carry out such a plan when he has to sacrifice the AG? Does that make sense or what?

I just look to ask who the next target of their insurgency is. It is too funny. It was Rummy, well actually it was Ashcroft and then …. They won’t run out of names. Do I remember them labeling Clinton incompetent on terrorism,(flight 800?? -- Cole etc.) or asking him to step down for the good of the country; or Harold in the Reeds calling Bosnia a "lost war". Or telling Clinton he failed in Somalia. Or call for withdraw from Bosnia, “We cannot win militarily. We need a political solution.” It’s the gift of lack of standards [but for] their political ones.

Finally

Pepp admits "All fiction is based on something. Fiction just tells a story about life around oneself."

Interesting.......

This is all I've been trying to say. That your fiction is "based on something." It's interesting how you fantasize a (final) solution to your perceived victimization at the hands of "the left with their PC control, disallowing arguments to be made unless they are framed within the socialist context."

Bradford

Oh Brad, Are you going to pull the fairness routine on ACLU? No agenda there-- LOL. I had thought there was hope but I see the koolaid took effect. (long ago)

Commie?

Watch out for the black helicopters! You're laughable. Watch out for the scary reds under the bed!

"Commies" fund the ACLU? According to who? You mean the commie Ford Foundation?

ACLU and what it stands for

The ACLU Defend the enemy. They have a long history of this one. They defended the P.L.O. in 1985. They defended Quadafi in the 1980’s. And they continue today. They have told Gitmo detainees they have the right to remain silent, as in not talking to interrogators.

As legislative counsel for the ACLU in 1985, Barry Lynn told the U.S. Attorney Generals Commission on Pornography (of which Focus on the Family President Dr. James C. Dobson was a member) that child pornography was protected by the First Amendment. While production of child porn could be prevented by law, he argued, its distribution could not be.

Scary ACLU

Poor wingnuts being picked on again. Ever the victims.

Yeah

that pesky First Amendment eh. I thought you supported it? Or do you only support it for people you agree with?

Fiction is based on something

So what Brad? What does that prove? Fiction is always based on something. And, this one of mine is based on socialism. I believe it really bothers you that socialism is being attacked in my fiction.

And, yeah,

I guess because Stephen King wrote Cujo he's sooooo scared of dogs. Right!

xpressit

You make very good points again. The dims will soon run out of people to investigate and run out of office. Soon, Bush will have no administration and I suppose that is when RedNanny and dingy harry step in and save us all from the evil of the neocons.

Nobody is shutting

you up Brad so what the heck are you talking about.

More ACLU BS

The ACLU is anti-Christian. The list is endless on this one. Under the guise of “seperation of Church and State”, the ACLU have made a name for themselves on being rabidly anti-Christian. This is one area where they are most hypocritical. They oppose tax exemptions for all churches, but fight for them for Wiccans. They are against Christianity in school, but oddly remain silent as our children are taught to be Muslims. Whether its baby Jesus, ten commandments, or tiny crosses on county seals, the ACLU will be there to secularize America, and rewrite our history.

Who els picks on the Scouts for the good of the country?

"Court rejects ACLU over fed Scout policy"
By staff - Apr 11, 2007 - comment

A federal appeals court has rejected an ACLU-backed lawsuit claiming the government’s support of an event sponsored every four years by the Boy Scouts of America violates the separation of church and state.

A three-judge panel of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago dismissed a lawsuit against the Department of Defense, which provides support for the BSA’s National Scout Jamboree. The ACLU-supported plaintiffs had argued that the Pentagon’s help with the event on military property infringed the First Amendment’s ban on government establishment of religion.

“This is just another example of the ACLU trying to impose its flawed view of the Constitution on the rest of America,” Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice, said in a written release. The ACLJ filed a friend-of-the-court brief supporting the government policy.

“The military provides the Boy Scouts with support and services that aid both the military and the Scouts without endorsing religion,” he said. “This lawsuit should never have been brought in the first place, and we’re pleased the appeals court dismissed the suit, clearing the way for this beneficial relationship between the military and the Boy Scouts to continue.” -- The case is Winkler v. Gates.

xpressit

Thanks for that last post proving again how much damage the ACLU is to our country. They mainly only fight cases that go against our values, trying to impose nothing but secularism onto the rest of us.

I rarely hear about them defending anyone with any real grievance.

xpressit

I think Brad ran out for some more kool-aid. He obviously drank gallons of the stuff today.

Peppermint

Hey, you got it! Come to think of it, what about that eminent domain issue? (Scratch that one off their Bill of Rights -- another standard rearing its head)

ACLU and BS

The ACLU are pro-death. Not only is the ACLU Pro-abortion, it’s the ACLU’s top priority. It most definitely takes a backseat to free speech for the ACLU. As a matter of fact, the ACLU has fought against the free speech rights of those that oppose it. If its abortion or euthanasia, as long as its pro-death you can count on the ACLU to support it. The only exception to the ACLU’s pro-death stance, is if it is a convicted criminal; in this case they are against death.

The ACLU advocate open borders. Not only have the ACLU opposed the Minute Men, a group who are simply exercising their freedom of speech, protesting and stepping up where the government is failing, but they have helped illegals cross the border.

xpressit

Yeah, I think I brought up the eminent domain issue to Brad but he didn't have much to say about it.
He picks and chooses what he'll argue, like abortion, no argument he declared. Now, if that isn't the socialist view of debate what is?

Peppermint

Too amusing. A nice transfussion is always an option. (possibly only, with the popularity of Koolaid being what it is. LOL)

xpressit

A transfusion indeed of something like arsenic would be better. LOL

xpressit

I've got to tell you this one if you're still here.
A poster named Mr. Buck stated that the Repubs are trying to jail people who burn the flag.

I kept asking him post after post, what repubs.
No answer.
Finally I said are you going to answer my question or does DavidMac have to put a gun to your head.

So, then he answers but tells me I asked him a trick question.

Talking about falling down laughing. I couldn't stop myself.

For Bradford and black helicopters:

The ACLU was founded by Communist, with communist ideals, communist goals, and they continue to impose a Communist like agenda on America daily. The founder of the ACLU, Roger Baldwin stated clearly…

My chief aversion is the system of greed, private profit, privilege and violence which makes up the control of the world today, and which has brought it to the tragic crisis of unprecedented hunger and unemployment. Therefore, I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself.I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”

No

this story of yours is based on your desire to eradicate your enemies by gunfire rather than through debate.

"this one of mine is based on socialism. I believe it really bothers you that socialism is being attacked in my fiction.

There you go again

"A transfusion indeed of something like arsenic would be better..LOL" Your dark little fantasies peep through. You just can't help it can you?

Roger Baldwin was a communist?

So? Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts, was gay. Your point?

Another quote from Baldwin

founder of ACLU:

"I saw in the Soviet Union many opponents of the regime. I visited a dozen prisons — the political sections among them. I saw considerable of the work of the OGPU. I heard a good many stories of severity, even of brutality, and many of them from the victims. While I sympathized with personal distress I just could not bring myself to get excited over the suppression of opposition when I stacked it up against what I saw of fresh, vigorous expressions of free living by workers and peasants all over the land. And further, no champion of a socialist society could fail to see that some suppression was necessary to achieve it. It could not all be done by persuasion. . . ."

they continue to impose a Communist like

agenda on America daily."

You really are a nut, Pepp. The ACLU defends freedom of expression..you know, that inconvenient thing that's called democracy...

Bradford's fantasy

Bradford writes: Monday, April, 23, 2007 12:33 AM
No
this story of yours is based on your desire to eradicate your enemies by gunfire rather than through debate.

That is your fantasy, not mine. You are projecting your own thoughts onto me.

Brad for spinoza

You aren't hearing impaired. Were you not the one making ado about Robertson with the ACLJ?

Good night, friends

Lock up tight. The VLWC is out to get you :)

Peppermint

47, 645,550 plus and counting for the price of so-called choice. No wonder Brad won't deal with the issue.

Wha?

"That is your fantasy, not mine. You are projecting your own thoughts onto me." Erm, excuse me. I'm not the one writing elaborately conceived stories about killing my enemies. Think about what you're saying Pepp. It's ridiculous!

and GWB

used to be an alcoholic. Guess that explains why his Administration is drunk on power. Heh.

Bradpitting

Are you a clown or a troll? Watch those patriots who own guns might get you. "Pleasant dreams". BTW: you might check ACLU's talking point stands on the second amendment. As I was saying Pep.... but we know how this one ends.

xpressit

Right. On top of that their arguments are getting pretty thin these days. Too much scientific evidence to make their case for "non-human" things in the womb.

Of course there are many people who never bought it to start, especially if you've ever had any science studies, but now with the 4-D pics they are faced with the inevitable truth.

And, how do these people sleep at night?

Bradford

You are projecting your anger about my story. That's what I meant. I don't even write these stories with any idea about going after anyone. It's just a fiction. Man, get some laughing gas.

Pep's fictional haven

Now we know their secret: when faced with 47+ million casualties, they sleep and dream up the answer. And tomorrow he'll be back. (pretending the 47 million don't exist)

xpressit

It is just like a leftist to worry themselves sick over my little writing of fantasy where people get killed in a work of fiction.

But, 47 million+ for real is no biggie. Nothing to concern ourselves over with that!

xpressit

It really is just too hilarious how Bradfood gets himself into a tizzy over a little fiction.

Peppermint

In your saga, it seems truth is even stranger and more disturbing than fiction. (They're god for something even if its entertainment) Of course if he really wants disturbed shock and awe, he might check Huff Po's on a given rabid day of the left.

xpressit

RTFLMAO!!

YES, the rabid HuffPo! Or the dirty, dingy dummies underground. Or how about DailyKosKooks?

He really needs to get around more.

Relax don't do it

Peppermint, True to the leftist form, he probably figured on pleading P/C and emotionalism to stop your writing and thinking. That would solve the problems, for him, and the one with 47 million too.(in his mind)

xpressit

Yeah, I kind of thought he's been itching to get me to stop writing this series. He throws up all the objections he can, tries to insult me, tries to insult my sanity.
What more is left for him to do.

xpressit

What mind? Does Brad have a mind?

Peppermint

The rationale of the left is solely political. "If it doesn't fit, they must acquit" it. You made me laugh. (and I think they are allergic to that too -- fictionally, that is)LOL
Gunny had a good piece on traitor Reid. (If it doesn’t fit...)

xpressit

LOL, "if it doesn't fit......

I'll have to check out Gunny's site. I haven't been there yet today. I was busy with some other things and didn't get around much..anymore....

I'm starting to get really silly at 2am.

Questions

Brad? Have you ever been out of your bubble?
Have you ever really read what and I mean really read what you see on paper, puter and so on?
Have you ever been in the military? Or do you just listen to the little kids who went in to get that 60 or so thousand to go to college and bad mouth their comrads?

OK, now I guess as a person who was raised in the south, put up with all sorts of "freedom of speech", proudly served in the military for 6 years and understands what the difference between joining during peacetime to get college benies and knowing that you can be called to fight means, and as a person with strong values...yes I'm a republican and guess what... I DATE A MEXICAN! I might be a little misguided.

Pep, I loved the story. But one thing...How could you? I mean isn't it against the US Constitution to express your opinions whether they be in spoken or written form if one person gets all lathered up in a rage? I mean really...for shame. Am I right in thinking that Bradlikins? I mean people can't just go around and express themselves right? We all have to get express written approval right?

I remember a story about a soldiers wife posting a I Support The Troops sign in her front yard. Well duh, she supports her husband, she was told to take it down because it might be offensive. I bet you love that one right Broodlikins? I mean heaven forbid that someone might be offended because someone expresses a different opinion than someone else. You call it,well in mho, self victimisation that a person can't protest. Does that include that nut case church group running around protesting at soldiers funerals? Should they be threatened with arrest? No? Why? Because it's their right. Given to them by that same soldier who is being lain to rest. Is it wrong? Again IMHO yes. Protesting is one thing but atacking a grieving family is just wrong. You want facts....read the news.

Just so I can get this straight Brad, you say you support freedom ofspeech right? Is that only if the person you are freespeeching to is tied up with duck tape wrapped around thier heads? Do they have puppet strings tied to thier heads and limbs so they can agree with everything you say? Or is your version one that say if you don't think, say, feel and believe the way I do you will burn in he**? Because I've heard that one too. Guess what, I'm not scared. I wasn't scared at the protesters fighting to get through the gates at the post I was stationed at in Korea and I'm not scared at what happening all over the world. Do I support war? No, do I support our troops and the presedent? YES! Do I think what we are doing is losing this war? No. Funny how your poll didn't have my opinion attatched to it. Funny how if some group is being unfairly treated for killing not only thousands of people in NY, Penn, and DC, but in other countries the so called "Good" people run to their aid. Oh this is so unfair...bla...bla..bla. Have you actually looked at the statistics? I do believe more civilians are being killed by terrorists than by troops. How do you propose we stop this? Pull our troops out and send in the pot smoking idiots and talk them down? Put them in time out? How? I'm really interested. You really pi**ed me off with some of your comments, but I guess I know where I can put that right? Too bad you don't believe in free speech for everyone. I am really saddened for you.

I am more saddened to think I served in the Army to be told my opinion is wrong. Is it? I don't think so. Do I think that Peps story hits a sore spot with you? Yes. If it didn't you wouldn't be attacking her. To say you don't agree is one thing, to sit in your plastic world and say she is violent is another. Am Iright in assuming that you sit at your puter and read every written word from your people 24/7? So You know for a "FACT" that none of your people has ever written anything like that? That someone out there isn't tying up the presedents daughters and threatening them with death if he doesn't step down? That is a little hard to believe even for me.

Pepp,Raging Bunny

Last nite a post of mine got lost...Sorry I got ugly..but SOB, that punk was just too much and I stooped to his level. Bradical and Mr. Buck would togther meet lovely fate if they were to go and be psychologically analyzed by one of the patriots...say Loyal Dem, or EVEN, yes, that's it!! Dr. Savage himself. We'll put all the semi-rehabbed lefties in his own personal "Political Zoo" and then maybe we can try to unravel the disease. Perhaps even get in reconized in the DSM!!!
Raging Bunny, I was REALLY ticked off...To think I also served so dipshi*s like him and his cronies could stomp all over the things that make this Country great stick in my craw.

Raging Bunny.

You lost me when you wrote "I am more saddened to think I served in the Army to be told my opinion is wrong" and yet berated me elsewhere for expressing an opinion on Pepp's fiction with a sarcastic "I mean people can't just go around and express themselves right? We all have to get express written approval right? "

I don't think you need a civics lesson. I think you--surely?--realize that you and millions of others served and serve now to ensure that every buffoon, Tom, Dick, Harry, and Bradford (yes, even Gunny G) has the right to say what they want, right, wrong, and in-between. And surely you misspoke when you said you feel that because you served you can never *be* wrong? Because I did read that, and you did write it.

That's what really p***es you, and Pepp, and Nee, and Gunny G--all the lot of you--off no end is the fact that people DARE disagree with you. You get riled up, furious, red-faced at the sheer arrogance of people such as me who have a different opinion and express it. And then you--whining victims all--turn around and accuse me of trying to suppress your views.

You know what. Democracy means disagreement. Your fragile sense of self might not be able to take dissent or divergent opinion, but marching in lockstep, all thinking alike, is not what democracy is about. It's messy, it's infuriating, and it's complicated, but know what? Too bad. That's the way America works.

Nee

you write "I was REALLY ticked off...To think I also served so dipshi*s like him and his cronies could stomp all over the things that make this Country great stick in my craw."

Yeah, it sucks living in a democracy, where we have open debate and disagreement, doesn't it? Would you rather live in a totalitarian state where everyone thinks like Nee?

Bradfording again

I pointed out how the left silences dissenting view, like in the infamous Lieberman example.

Raging Bunny

The more I read and reread your post, the more the sheer arrogance and presumption of it takes my breath away. I'm not telling Pepp she can't write what she wants, even though all you slathering, raging righties keep telling me I'm trying to suppress her thoughts. All I'm doing is telling her what I think it means. I disagree with you, that's all. I know you hate dissent, but until you come and lock me up and beat me for being of a different mind (just like Pepp's little fantasy has it), I'll on expressing myself.

"I remember a story about a soldiers wife posting a I Support The Troops sign in her front yard. Well duh, she supports her husband, she was told to take it down because it might be offensive."

I don't believe you. I'm sure there's more to this 'story' than you're telling.

"Does that include that nut case church group running around protesting at soldiers funerals? Should they be threatened with arrest? No? Why? Because it's their right. Given to them by that same soldier who is being lain to rest. Is it wrong? Again IMHO yes. Protesting is one thing but atacking a grieving family is just wrong. You want facts....read the news.'

We agree! Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church are SCUMBAGS. But they have the right to do what they do? Why then are you getting mad at me for expressing my Constitutionally-granted right? I'm not telling ANYONE--least of all Pepp-- they can't say what they want.

RB: "Just so I can get this straight Brad, you say you support freedom of speech right?"

Me: Yup!

RB: "Is that only if the person you are freespeeching to is tied up with duck tape wrapped around thier heads? Do they have puppet strings tied to thier heads and limbs so they can agree with everything you say? Or is your version one that say if you don't think, say, feel and believe the way I do you will burn in he**?"

Me: (sigh). Reread what I said earlier.....please. You can say whatever you want. And so can I. We live in a free country. America is great like that.

RB: "Funny how your poll didn't have my opinion attatched to it."

Me: Funny how polls don't work like that. You do know how polls work, right? They take a representative, statistically accurate sample of the general population. Or don't you believe in statistics? And you know what. ALL the polls agree. The majority of the country are sick of the war and sick of Bush. It's you and Nee and Gunny G and Pepp who are out of step with most Americans. It's you who are Rumsfeld's famous 'dead enders.'

RB: "How do you propose we stop this? Pull our troops out and send in the pot smoking idiots and talk them down? Put them in time out? How? I'm really interested."

I think we should bring back the draft. I think if we're REALLY going to win the war, we send in half-a-million troops. But you know what. Bush is too chickensh#t to do that. He knows fighting a war in a way that really forces everyone to stop shopping and staring at the TV and actually pay attention, to actually feel some of pain the military and their families feel all the time, would be bad for business. And what you pro-Bush dupes don't get is that he uses you, he exploits your patriotism for his pro-business, pro-globalization agenda. Why do you think he's for open borders? Don't be a sucker.

Give me a break

how did the Left "silence" Lieberman? He's on TV and in the news all the time!

Pepp

"I kind of thought he's been itching to get me to stop writing this series. He throws up all the objections he can, tries to insult me, tries to insult my sanity."

Keep writing! Keep writing! Please! I love it when you claim to support freedom of speech and then write your little stories about suppressing the rights of others to express different opinions (heck, you imprison me and torture me in your latest episode). You are so unself-aware it's hilarious.

Raging Bunny

Is this what you were talking about? From AOL news: "The Westchase Homeowners Association threatened her with the $100 a day for up to 10 days because the sign is in violation of association rules, but Kelley said she was ready to pay."

More hysteria from the right. She wasn't 'told to take it down because it might be offensive' like you claimed. She was fined because the sign violated her dumba## housing association policy on signs in front yards. I'm sure if the sign had said "I hate the troops" she'd have been fined as well.

A perfect example of the right's feeling picked on. It has NO basis in reality.

Bradford

There is nothing Ol’ Bradford stated that does not apply to the left. And speaking of being used, exploited like a pawn: Poor Joe Lieberman, he made the mistake of disagreeing. Let that be a lesson. You know, Brad, I think you are projecting again. Maybe if you look you’ll find your misplaced resentment of those extortionists of Soprano-mentality on the left. Watch out or you’ll get whacked like Joe. Especially if you don’t keep up with your talking points like the GWOT memo you missed. (Don’t let it happen again – or you’ll sleep with the fishes, like Joe)

What

are you talking about xpressit? You ramble like a drunk man.

The more I think about it

the more I'm amazed at how you make my arguments for me. I've been claiming that a lot of your anger at the left stems from this general feeling of resentment and being picked on. And that when you examine the 'poor conservatives are being persecuted' meme it falls apart under scrutiny.

Here's Raging rRabbit huffing and puffing about the evil socialist pravda types who tell poor soldier's wife to take her pro-troop sign down because it's "offensive." And this he cites as evidence of some liberal feel good communist plot against America.

But when we actually look at THE FACTS, it's actually not like Brer Rabbit said it was at all. It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the tight a** homeowners association and their anxiety over property rights.

Brad

That's the point; if you cannot silence him (Joe L), shut him up, or make him change his position, then toss it overboard in favor of one that will tow the line. But Lieberman pursued despite their complaints about legality. And it made them all the madder when he beat them. That's the other shortcoming of libs, they like to play ignorant or deny.

Brad

"The more I think about it
the more I'm amazed at how you make my arguments for me."

Ah oh, your thinking again, Brad, ad lib as it were. Don't step off the ranch.

So xpressit

when you wrote "the left silences dissenting view" you didn't *actually*' mean 'silence,' you meant "make him change his position, then toss it overboard in favor of one that will tow the line." You mean, like, the Democratic voters in the primary? That's how democracy works. It's not "silencing" someone when you disagree with them or vote for the other guy.

What planet did you grow up on?

The War of Words

Yo Peppermint, Nee and Xpressit! Holy catfish kingfish!! I went bed last night at approximately 11:00 PM (MDT) and you, Nee and Xpressit were really going at it with Brad. Its now 6:36 AM (MDT) Monday and its still going on. Has dem bad motorcycles (Pepps Mossad) paid him another visit and rattled his cage? I fear that Brad is on the verge of having apoplexy. What say you Brad? Better watch out! Vito Cordeleon (the Godfather) is watching you. His "b'hoys" are more vicious than dem der bad motorcycles. They don't take no prisoners.
The Texas Ranger (wannabee)

Scumbag Newt

After Columbine, Newt 'I ditched my wife when she had cancer' Gingrich said:

“I want to say to the elite of this country - the elite news media, the liberal academic elite, the liberal political elite: I accuse you in Littleton…of being afraid to talk about the mess you have made, and being afraid to take responsibility for things you have done, and instead foisting upon the rest of us pathetic banalities because you don’t have the courage to look at the world you have created.”

On ABC’s This Week, host George Stephanopoulos asked Gingrich if he would apply those same words to the Virginia Tech tragedy. “Yes,” Gingrich said.

What a scumbag!

Brad

Yo Brad!! BTW, we are a Constitutional Republic not a Democracy. I'm think you just had a Freudian slip of the tongue.

Willi ...Bradical

Willi...look here...I was going to correct the bradical too...Hope you weren't too offended...but I warned everyone what would happen if they chose to defend the huckster!!

That's right, a democracy. Wrong..bud. We are a Republic. But your ideas that are different than mine are what will ruin this Country. That is a problem for me. And as I stated, many times before you ever came along- I will fight the left's ideolgies all day, every day so that my kids will have a Cuuntry to be proud of. Soemthing you just don't seem to grasp. You see nothing wrong with the Fairness Doctrine, which ultimatley will lead to more restriction of speech...and you were right, Old Harry the defeatist doesn't have to answer to the President, only his constituents...three equal branches of Gov't and all that...doesn't mean he gets to demoralize them and aid and abett the enemy. My opinion is that it is an act of treason, period.
BTW, you never defined victim.
Sadaam, a victim? His 100,000 dead Countrymen?
Was Bill Clinton a Victim?
Was john Murtha?
How Bout Teddy K. He didn't really kill MJK, did he?
MLK?
Did you even bother to check the website of Michelle Malkin to hear what the troops had to say?
How about going over to Iraq the Model...
Gee, I forget, you don't like the fact that soldiers are saying opposite of you...

Brad

And surely you misspoke when you said you feel that because you served you can never *be* wrong? Because I did read that, and you did write it.
...
I am more saddened to think I served in the Army to be told my opinion is wrong. Is it? I don't think so.

So I wrote I can never be wrong? Where? I said I don't think it is. That's kinda the point of opinions dude. Look it up. Civics? I took that a long long time ago. The books and the teachers all thought the way you do. That it's ok to ram, shove and totally obliterate the views and free thinking, you gonna argue? You just got done stomping on your soap box yourself.

Does it kinda pinch your toes a bit? That's what free speech is all about buddy. It's not arrogance, it's not presumption. It's me using my right to express myself. Where at exactly did I say that you said she couldn't write? I know I never said that. But you did attack her and say she was violent for wanting to kill off those people. Violent? Ever read any thing above K level?

You never did answer my original questions. Can't? or just don't want to?

Just because you read something doesn't mean it's the way it should be. Get out more Brad, You might be surprised at how unhappy most of US are.

Oh and by the way, no that isn't the story I was talking about. I will find it. I don't read AH*** news. I don't exactly save and paste in a scrapebook all those little details, I have a life.

Bradford

your comment about Newt is confusing, it is apples and oranges. I think your reference to his wife cancer and his choice to leave...Personal choice, while the part referring to the shootings is not a personal choice, it was foisted on the victims by the administration of the college/school who feel it is better to have unarmed people placed in charge of kids/students. i.e. people with authority making decisions that have bad consequences.
Please don't refer to the wild west or a bunch of gun toting kids...as most who would possess a ccw are far from irresponsible.

Brad: In skimming the posts

you wrote something with which I strongly agree: bring back the draft.

I think there should be some kind of compulsory service required in one's lifetime: military, Peace Corps, other options, whatever.

I've always been -- and continue to be -- unsure of the Constitutionality of it, particularly when not in time of declared war. That's been part of the problem with our military policy since the Korean War: lack of declaration, and the ancillary issues involved with that.

I have to think about this.

and before you say...

What about the 3000+ soldiers...Remember the words Volunteer Army...Remember that their job description is to support and defend, and should death befall them, they are not victims! They chose the job and the risk. The only people using the victim rants are the ones who say that they voted for the war and are now against it. And to them, the responsibility falls squarely on you-know-who's shoulders...so no dems can have blood on THEIR hands, right? All your friends say so...they all say GW didn't win the electionS fair and square and that electoral college should be done away with...his WH is full of scandals (which they created), and they seem to Forget about all the Clinton dirty laundry(he's a real saint, hey?)...I find it amazing-- the double standard I see over and over again...

Peppermint…

Here is one for the Gipper:
“Islamic terrorists are engaged in a "media jihad" in which they encourage jihadists to pose online as Americans to foster anti-war sentiment in the U.S.” http://wwwwakeupamericans-spree.blogspot.com/2007/03/fck-troops-no-fck-you.html

“Instead of coming out publicly and denouncing this type of crap, the Democratic politicians use it to further their own agenda.”

xpressit

Great link. Thanks I've been saying this over and over especially down under some of the columnists, that the dims talking points match the terrorists talking points.

And, I hope socialist Bradical reads that link and gets a clue.

The enemy withing = the dimocraps

Raging Bunny

Wow! You sure did get Bradfoggy's ire up. Geesh!
He's having an apoplexy over it. Unbelievable what has happened while I was away.

You guys have been holding the fort down well in my absence.

I noticed that Brad does not answer so many of the questions put to him. He doesn't want to show his true socialist colors.

Raging Bunny

Brad claims he wants free speech, but he comes on here doing what the left always do when someone not of his mind, writes. He gets on here and insults me over and over. Like has he heard the word "harassment"? He thinks by harassing me, insulting me he will get me to shut up. That's so typical of the left. Try to beat them down by calling them names, by telling they are right wing nut cases, telling them they are paranoid. Call them anything just to shut them up.
Well it won't work because I won't shut up exposing the socialists.
He hates my story so much because the socialists are exposed in my story. He sees the satire and he hates seeing himself exposed.

Nee

You go girl.
Yeah, Brad forgets that the dimocraps voted for the war. Now they are trying to distance themselves from that. What a bunch of cowards. And, it works for them because so few people pay any attention to what really goes on in DC. The dimocraps are the enemy within.
Very good points you made Nee.

Crawfish

I'm sorry I meant to respond to you, but got so distracted. You're right we must not waste too much ammo. And, in the story the socialists had most of the troops shipped out of here.
I can work you into the story, however and give you a part in the Great take down of the socialists!

ch47jockey

Good points you make. The VT admin had a disaster waiting to happen. With two bomb threats already you would have thought they would be on the alert. And, having the school unarmed is a big mistake. That monster knew he had free zone to shoot the sitting ducks.

Bradfoggy

"Keep writing! Keep writing! Please! I love it when you claim to support freedom of speech and then write your little stories about suppressing the rights of others to express different opinions (heck, you imprison me and torture me in your latest episode). You are so unself-aware it's hilarious."

Duh! It's a satire putting the Patriots in the place of what the socialists do to the cons.

You don't think you socialists torture people?
Ha! The very fact that socialists exist is torture beyond belief.

And, when it comes to self awareness, start looking into the mirror ole buddy. You got a lot to learn about yourself.

Yo Brad!! BTW, we are a Constitutional Republic not a Democracy. I'm think you just had a Freudian slip of the tongue.

Good post and lesson for Bradfoggy. He needs to brush up on the Constitution. And, yeah, boy the fireworks were going off while I was away. LOL

Nee

btw, don't worry about what you post on here. This is a FREE SPEECH ZONE!

Raging Bunny

I can't wait for your next post. You are a true
Patriot.

another great chapter

peppermint, thanks for giving us another excellent read! once again, you entertain us!
thanks....and keep it coming!

Yo Brad

When ya'all goin' to learn that it ain't possible to win a war of words with dez heah wimmin on dez heah Townhall Blogs? Dat der Nee will give you a whumpin' everytime. Ah hope you is sleeping with one eye open. You got dem bad motorcycles (Pepps Mossad) at yoah front door and Vito Cordelone's Mafia guardin' yoah escape routes in case you is foolish enough to run. Muh advice to you boy is don't mess with Texas.
Us wannabee Texas Rangers shoot first and ax questions lata

celtic lass

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I'm working on the next chapter.

Yo Willi

Right on. He needs to keep his eyes open at all times. Not only the Mossad, but we've got plenty of Patriots who would shoot first because they can smell a socialist a mile away. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck. The enemy is easy to spot and give themselves away. Too easy.

Hey Pep

Did you hear Shrillary pulling out her Selma accent again? Soooo funny! And she wants to send her husband "roving", as world embassador...guess she doesn't want him anywhere near the WH if she is pres...smart lady.

Sheila

Ha! Ha! Yeah, if I were Shrillary I wouldn't want that joker near me in the WH either. He's bound to cause a scandal. But, he can still cause one internationally. Maybe, he'd be dumb enough like Richard Gere to kiss an Indian woman and get booted out.

Sheila & Peppermint

Yea, Sheila, and I see a world scale secret service team (possibly some females within it would be ideal) Imagine winning they have his and her staffs. Post pres..(achem)cy, there can be his and her (its) libraries -- Just what they need.

Not to worry, Sheila, they'll have no surprises; they keep a tight closet. (should we say secret closet?)

Bradford - Read Herman Cain

"John Sugg is Senior Editor of Creative Loafing, a limited distribution weekly paper based in Atlanta, Georgia. Sugg did not have a slip of the pen or a runaway keyboard when he referred to me and all black Republicans as moronic. Sugg wrote, "Being a black Republican is not only oxymoronic, it's simply plain old-fashioned moronic." In the same article he also referred to me as a "sorry opportunist" and a "token," because I chose to run as a Republican in the Georgia 2004 U.S. Senate primary election."

http://townhall.com/Columnists/HermanCain/2007/04/23/at_least_don_imus_didnt_call_black_republicans_moronic

Another fact about how liberals bash blacks.

xpressit

And, I imagine Bubba would choose his female SS to make things oh, so much nicer for him. Anyone care for cigar?

Peppermint

(now that you mention it, yea)

Please excuse the content in this for satire.
First duty as Heiress Hill president: Put a tail on hubby
Second duty: executive order dubbing hubby “sultan of tail”.
(despite what real title says)
Third order of executive caliber: cover Hubby’s tail, no matter what it entails.

xpressit

LOL!
I like that. You covered all the tails.

Sooo consistency = 'scumbag'?

The guy is true to his belief, and that's a bad thing because...?

OH YEAH, thats right. I forgot, excuse me. When politicians go on tv to 'debate' issues, they are supposed to dodge questions and talk LOUDER THAN THE OTHER GUY SO PEOPLE DON'T HEAR THEM. How silly of me.

Or is he a scumbag just for ditching his wife, which would make the rest of your point useless whining. Can I get you anything? A balloon, a twinkie?

OR is it because he happens to share an opinion that differs from yours. Wow, so much for 80% of your credibility thusfar.

The killer is that it's most likely the latter, and all the little snipes about the right versus differing opinion look a helluva lot like so many small, mean mirrors.

Opinions, they say, are like buttholes, everyone has em. Not surprisingly, if you endeavor to display yours openly, you may very often find yourself having a boot in need of extrication.

Regards

J-Dawg

LOL. Excellent post. How wonder how many boots will need to be extracted?

This post by Bradfoggy

"That's what really p***es you, and Pepp, and Nee, and Gunny G--all the lot of you--off no end is the fact that people DARE disagree with you. You get riled up, furious, red-faced at the sheer arrogance of people such as me who have a different opinion and express it. And then you--whining victims all--turn around and accuse me of trying to suppress your views."

ROTFLMAO!!

The only person who sounds pis*ed off is Bradfoggy.
Everybody else sounds normal. Riled up, furious, red faced. HA! HA! HA!

I can't stop laughing.

Peppermint et al 1; Bradford -10

An interesting presentation, which obviously attracts passionate comments. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the exchanges. Bradford---about whom I know nothing---has perseverance, that's for sure. He's so full of it, his eyes are probably brown [they should be if they aren't]---but he does have perseverance.

I think he said George Bush used to be an alcoholic. I'm not one, but I do know many of them, and nobody "used to be an alcoholic." Once you're afflicted, you will continue to be one. You just won't be a drinker. And his use of the phrase was entirely unwarranted. Has he also made light of Bob Dole's bad arm?

Perhaps Bradford should use some of his excess energy to convince Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, and a number of other Democrats to give up the tippling. He can then call them "used to bes" all he wants.

In any case, I agree that he seems satisfied with Robert Byrd, that former Ku Klux Klansman who left the Klan when he felt too much heat. I guess he became a Democrat to be among kindred spirits.

By the way, Peppermint, you and your friends might be interested in my latest blog entries about Sheryl Crow and her toilet paper limitation, and my finding of the Liberalist Manifesto the other day. You might enjoy them. In Opino Veritas @ Townhall, pretty much right next door.

Awww I don't know Pep I was kinda flattered that he had to read and re-read my post. That and the fact he got that pi**ed that fast.

Raging Bunny

Oh,yeah. You really lit him off! I found it funny too that he kept going back and re-reading it. His description of us actually was him no doubt, the riled up, arrogant red faced....

I laughed myself sick over that one too.

I guess he was scared to come here tonight.

tnmccoy

Bradford is our visiting libdolt. He wanted to be in the story, but I don't think he liked how he was portrayed. I don't know why for the life of me. To have a starring role, he should have been so flattered.

Pep, and xpressit

The country would be enthralled again, like the soap opera that was Clinton's 8 years...only this time Slick would be the traveling salesman for the qween...wonder how many bags of cash he'd manage to have the Chinese sneak into the WH next time around?

And who would be sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom, I wonder...oh, and who would get Vince Foster's old office?

Sheila

That is something that concerns me if Hill is in the WH, the fact that they are a soap opera. Would we once again have our backs turned on what is really happening while Slick Willie has his cigar massaged?

Most of what I recall about the Slick Bubba WH is all the Monica crapola and Whitewater scandal. It was as if the country took an 8 yr. holiday from reality.

That's what scares me.

That's gotta be some kind of record.

Whoa!

BrianR

I wouldn't know if it's a record, but there sure were some fireworks going on here and that was fun.

BrianR

it's gotta be a record...fireworks, for sure!

Pep, yeah you're exactly right on that one...it is a scary thought.

As the WH churns the country burns, or someting like that?...

Sheila

Good title for the Hill and Bill soap opera.

Yeah, what's another 8 years of the Slick and Hick story worth? The left can all settle back down into their comfy little security blankies knowing Hill/Bill are takin care of bizz as usual. While Bill is once again denying he had sex with that woman, no one notices the mushroom cloud.....

Bradford

wanted me to give him examples of the dichotomy of the socialists:

The leftist t.p. you throw around here isn't censured by TH.com, but I guarentee you that if went on HuffPo and posted right-wing ideology, I'd get banned in a heartbeat.

It's happened to me, Brad, and you know I usually take it pretty easy on the socialists.

Maybe you haven't read Orwell. That paraphrase (I wrote, "all are equal, some are more equal than others") of his famous line in "Animal Farm" is very much the mind set of socialists.

You pick and choose who will be "equal". Your vaunted egalitarianism is always conditional.

Well, Pep

I don't think those two bozos will be back in the WH...I think the country is going to be sick of the Reid/Pelosi act and give us a landslide for a GOP majority...

DavidMac

You are so right. My son posted on underground and got kicked immediately. These leftist sites don't allow the right much room to say anything. Freedom of speech from the left! My azz.

Sheila

Well, country enthralled is sort of an understatement. They'd probably both waste no time getting started. We're supposed to be anxious or something?

Peppermint:Why is it when you do fictional playacts mentioning deaths, they want to call ATF and any other three letter agency on you? When libs push eradication in national policy for decades, they want to be able to pick up the phone and call a "gubmint contractor" to actually do the deed? Yet they don’t want to argue details or humanity of the policy. They just want the long arm of the government to protect and support it. And he calls people here nuts.

Sheila

Two bozos! LOL. And, that is what they are for sure.
Two big, dumb bozos.

I really don't think even the left wants those two jokers back in the WH for another 8 years. I could be wrong, but it's tiresome. We need some new blood in there to kick start things again.

These last months of Bush are going to be nothing but agony as the dimocraps stall him at every turn over the surge.

xpressit

Good question. I wonder if Bradfoggy calls a gubmint agency every time he reads a murder mystery, a science fiction story, or a horror novel?

I wonder if he has called a gubmint agency on Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or anyone else in that genre.

Not to mention what's on TV, like the Sopranos, The Shield, any other show that has violence in it.

Oh, I know, it's only when someone on the right writes something that he doesn't like. Then, that person is a lunatic.

Pepp

Ha, ha! I guess the answer is Gobmint replaces the mob, or other organized crime rackets. 1800needgov But don't question Planned Parenthood or abortion; just friendly Gov at your service.

xpressit

Aye the selective morality of the libstanks & the double standard bs is cheap, at the very best. Im sure Brad calls the idiots in Hollywood and every cRAP record producer to voice the same concern.

And yet, the sanctimony that these scrubs hold for poeple who don't buy the brainwashing talking points propaganda in limitless.

oops

forgot...

Regards

(hey I'm just trying to see if this can hit 300 =) )

xpressit

Ole Bradfoggy accused me of being against rap music. So, I guess he likes that, loaded with violence, women hating gangsta crap. But, OMG, don't have any violence in Pep's stories. Gotta call Homeland Security.

J-Dawg

Yeah! Let's get it up to 300 and really set a record.

J-Dawg

"And yet, the sanctimony that these scrubs hold for people who don't buy the brainwashing talking points propaganda in limitless."

Truer words have never been written. LOL

The only one who sounds like a loon on here is Bradfoggy, ranting away at everyone, calling all of us victims. He uses that word so much I can only think that is what he sees himself as, a victim, of the horrible, bloodthirsty Pepp.

JimmyCarter

I don't know but I do know you are a 10 in my book.
Awfully good sport!

J-Dawg

Bulls eye! I heard Rosie refer to abortion and questioned how many Supreme justices are Catholic? Then she said “separation of church and state!”. I wonder who sent her that line. (I’m not Catholic but sometimes you just go “What?”)

xpressit

Rosie the piggie snorts again.

I'm Catholic and abortion is anathema in the church.
If you "murder" a child you are excommunicated from the church. So, I guess Rosie dummy has start jumping on Catholics now.

Pepp

Jimmy always was a good peanut counter. LOL

xpressit

I wonder what Satanic group Rosie belongs to. They need some rules about how often their witches go off on their broomstick tangents.

Pepp

Is there anyone she hasn't offended? (but look out she's got protection, with guns)

xpressit

Jimmuh the peanut. Too bad he counted so many peanuts he became one, a big goober.

xpressit

I have to give Rosie that one. She's an equal opportunity basher. I don't think she's bashed blacks has she? She could become the female Imus.
Ugh! What a horror that conjures up.

Pepp

Where's Gobmint regulators when you need them? (She could be causing Global warming -- along with global jihad, which we probably aren't supposed to say anymore...) JimmyC, I hear a clue for you!

xpressit

Sheryl Crow is limiting the amount of toilet paper you can use when you come to her house in the name of global warming. (these libdolts are beyond belief) Anyway, if Rosie were to go to Crow's house, with all the toilet paper Rosie needs to use, having diarrhea out of her mouth constantly, she'd be kicked out no doubt for contributing so much to the global warming problem and hurting the earth.
By golly, she hurts everything else that looks at her, I imagine the earth might take an extra spin for her.

Pepp

What's wrong with her? Did her trees stop growing leaves or something. I wonder if she's working on a toilet that flushes on fumes?

xpressit

ROTFLMAO! Flushing with fumes. Whew!

What's wrong with her? She's a leftist loon I guess. It's really hard to say, except I think these Hollyweird types just like the publicity it gets them.

btw, what did you think of Alec Baldwin's phone call to his daughter?

Peppermint

"Alec, phone home!" A piece of work. Yea the loons are out in full plumage. Must lengthen the season for them. I caught the Whitehouse correspodents dinner. Geesh, I thought it was Oscar night -- red carpet and all. There they all were! Even that whacko teen idol reject. "Everone in the pool". I saw Larrry King with his mermaid. What a crew. I thought it had something to do with news and covering the WH. I guess it woke me to the pararallels with news and celebs the leftonistas are fascinated with. Is there a survival island for celebs? (are they in season too??LOL)

xpressit

LOL.
I didn't catch the WH happening. Sounds pretty loony though. What the heck were all those leftwing nuts doing there? There's just too many of these loons in this country.

btw, I just posted Chapter XVI.

Rosie.. oh lawd

There are hippocrites, then there's Rosie. I think she rivals Hitlery in the gag reflex department. Her & Feinswine would have our police running around with lollipops in their holsters. But yeah, I think Rosie enjoys being a household word, even though its always a four-letter word.

Baldwin I thought that kook left in 2000 when President Bush got elected. Oh well. He should follow the example of Michael Jackson & move to Basra or something. No Darfur, there ya go. You see how fast he backpedaled when this news hit last week? You have to feel sorry for the kid, though. Imagine Baldwin & Basinger are your parents.

Pepp

Sounds good, anyway congrads on this one. Success is so sweet. BTW: What's Alec still doing in our country? Grrr! I will be checking out the new, can't wait.

J-Dawg

LOL! lollipops in their holsters. That's a good one.

Yeah, Rosie is a national disgrace if you ask me.
I think sometimes she just says the most outrageous crap to get the PR. Who would be talking about her otherwise? Just what talents does she have other than that big, bad mouth of hers? It's too bad so many people tune in to see that dregs of a show The PUView.

Check it out. I put up Chapter XVI just a few minutes ago.

Pepp's national emergency

"Yeah, Rosie is a national disgrace if you ask me."

meanwhile, Iraq burns........

Brad

Meanwhile our country is being overrun with traitors like dingy harry and rednanny pelosi.

Why do you think

Harry Reid is a traitor?

Pepp

if telling the truth--finally--about Iraq makes Reid a "traitor" (I guess loyalty to one's country means 'my country right or wrong' for you, huh?), then a majority of Americans are also 'traitors' by your definition, as they also know the war is lost. Unlike Bush.

George W. Bush, January 2006: "There's progress. And it's important progress and it's an important part of our strategy to win in Iraq."

Bush, November 2005: "Iraq is making incredible political progress."

Bush, October 2005: "Iraqis are making inspiring progress."

Bush, September 2005: "Iraq has made incredible political progress."

Bush, April 2005: "I believe we're making good progress in Iraq."

Bush, March 2005: "We're making progress."

Bush, September 2004: "We're making steady progress."

Bush, July 2003: "We're making progress. It's slowly but surely making progress."

Brad

dingy harry said the war is lost. He isn't even giving the surge a chance to work, not even all the troops are in place. All the reports so far are that the surge is working.
dingy harry gives aid and comfort to the enemy. The terrorists even spout off the dimocrap talking points.

Progress

Brad, Surely even you couldn't think we could win the war overnight. There are only so many things so many people can accomplish. If you are really so concerned that we end the war by midnight then join up dude! Then while you are over there you can talk to the troops and the civilians and see what they think. Or do your comrads think the only way to win a war is to sit back and tell these brave men and women that their friends sacrifices are for nothing? The war isn't being directed towards one known enemy. The battle lines aren't that clearly drawn. If we were to pull out now it would be another massive cicil war and I don't think the good guys would win.

Raging Bunny

Good post. And, this war against the jihadists will not be won overnight because they are determined. They will not lose the will as some here in the States have already lost their will.
Reports that what we are mostly fighting right now is AQ in Iraq. If we give up now AQ wins and takes over.
