Could you clarify what you mean by new definition" of terrorism?

I body of your otherwise excellent piece didn't seem to flesh out that angle.

Terrorism is not considered terrorism unless you're caught in the act act of mutillating or killing.

If you haven't committed an act yet, no matter what your intentions, you can't be classified as a terrorist.

If your 'rights" have been affected, you may be released. But terrorist have NO rights.

If you haven't been read the Miranda rights, you may not be properly arrested, even though terrorists are usually not American citizens, who have no Ameican rights.
