Just look at my reading of how the peak oil interpretations are made. They are based on KNOWN RESERVES. Which are always about 25-30 years at current usage. Which is why since 1960 we have heard we will run out of oil in 30 years. Over and over. For decades now.

It is akin to looking in your refrigerator and saying "Only 2 gallons of milk! Milk reserves will run out in two days!" Forgetting that you only keep enough on hand for present consumption. Similarly, we only explore to find enough for present usage and a future reserve.

Silly scaremongers.
